So I had my implant (Titan Coloplast) on December 26th and everything seems to be going well. It is healing well and have no pain only a title discomfort since my penis is not completely flaccid. Basically the tip rubs at times against my jeans and is a little uncomfortable. I am wondering if anyone...

Surgery tomorrow
Well I am not too nervous about my implant tomorrow at the University of Maryland with Dr. Kramer. 6 AM ET. To prep for surgery. I will let let you know how it went when I get home. I am hoping that this procedure works for my ED after my prostrate surgery in 2011.

Re: Upcoming surgery December 26th...
Pretty rare for most urologists to not to keep you overnight with a catheter..... they need to make sure their are no complications and you can urinate. Actually, day surgery is pretty common. Maybe not as common as an overnight stay, but far from "pretty rare". There are lots of reports ...

Re: Upcoming surgery December 26th...
Best wishes for your surgery! I am still in the healing phase but from everything I have read and what my Urologist told me you are on the right track. I think it is best to choose the doctor with the most experience so 200/year sounds good to me. My surgeon does both the Titan and the AMS devices ...

How did you pick your surgeon?
I guess I am lucky to have the #2 and #15 urology hospitals in the US 20 minutes from my house. I picked #15 univ. of Maryland instead of #2 John Hopkins to do the implant because the surgeon is high volume. I am wondering how others made their decision? I only visited the 2 hospitals because they w...

Re: Upcoming surgery December 26th...
First, welcome to FT and congratulations on your up-coming Titan Penile Implant Surgery. I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan on December 13, 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in 2004. The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored the emotional bond with my wife. Also, it does n...
Re: Take 2
Good luck to you. Please post as you journey through this. I will do the same. Seems like Christmas time is a popular time to become the bionic man.

Re: Upcoming surgery December 26th...
That timing for Dr. Kramer is lightning fast. It must not include any prep time, etc. Just be from time of first cut to time of last closure. One thing to note, those timings can be way off depending on the conditions that present themselves during surgery. The average for the higher volume urologi...
