Re: Implant Cost without Insurance Coverage

I received an LGX on 1/11/12. I am covered by Medicare and have a supplement which picks up almost everything else. The summary I received from Medicare is unbelievable. Physician charges ( 2 surgeons were present) $16528. Medicare approved and paid $663.48. My supplement paid $305.87. The balance w...

He said everything is looking good. He made another appointment for me on 3/13/12, at which time he intends to fir...

Re: Sizing the LGX

rlm1818 has identified what I was trying to say. I also think a surgeon will tend to go shorter and hope that the implant expands out to fill up the area and not result in the "floppy head", while at the same time reducing the chance of the cylinders buckling. I would suspect this would be...

Ya, I see your post now and you are asking the same thing. I am quite surprised that no one offered up an opinion at least.
Thx.

Sizing the LGX

When implanting the AMS 700 LGX does ( or should ) the surgeon determine the overall corporeal space , ex: 20.5 cm and assemble an implant to that size or deduct some length due to up to 18% increase in the implants maximum length and use an implant of about 17 cm and allow the implant to eventually...

Re: Is this all worth it?

I want to thank all of you who responded to my post. It does make me feel a little better about the upcoming ordeal. I am certainly happy for all of you who have had the very positive results, and sympathize with those who have not. Everyone says to do diligent research on the surgeon. My doctor is ...

Is this all worth it?

I have been reading this forum for a couple weeks now and just signed on last week. I have an implant scheduled for 01/18/12, but the more I read on this forum the more I am leaning towards cancelling the surgery and forgetting the whole thing. I have been reading prior to this that satisfaction rat...
