Re: Titan OTR
rlm1818 It has been a bit more than a month since that last post, and I have to say that I have experienced significant improvement in the several nagging issues that I discussed in some detail. I think that this just reinforces the notion that the recovery time for this procedure can be lengthy and...
Re: Titan OTR
Let me preface the following comments by noting that, at four months post-surgery, I feel that I am nowhere near fully recovered. As such, I may not have the best perspective on the long-term benefits or pitfalls of the Titan OTR implant. In addition, I can't really distinguish between the procedure...
Re: Titan OTR
I had a Titan OTR implanted four months ago at age 60 and I would be more than happy to share my experience and/or answer any questions you may have. While I am generally pleased with the outcome, I can honestly say that there are aspects to this procedure that I wasn't totally prepared for, even af...

Implants and Airport Body Scanners
As a recent implantee, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with airport body scanners detecting your hardware. With the recent news story involving a woman being pulled of an airplane because she claimed to have had explosives implanted within her body, and the ongoing development of un...

Re: Coloplast Titan and Length
rlm I'm not sure why I didn't get the post-op documentation detail that you did, but I assume it has to do with the fact that I am local and will see him again soon. Again, many thanks for the input; it certainly helps to know that others have been through very similar situations. Thanks again. Dusty

Thanks for your input. All of it makes sense. I will pursue this in greater detail when I next meet with my doctor.

Re: Coloplast Titan and Length
I also was confused about the operating room measurements until I forced myself to watch a video of an actual procedure. As I followed it, once the incision is made in the base of the penis and the corpus cavernosa are dilated, the surgeon inserts a measuring device into of the penis in both directi...

Re: Coloplast Titan and Length
He did meaurements of flaccid and stretched length before and after a Caverject injection prior to a duplex sonogram to check blood flow. Based on these measurements, he estimated that the final post-implant length would in the the neighborhood of 13-14 cm, or roughly 5 - 5-1/2 inches. He was very c...

Re: Coloplast Titan and Length
I had only one brief conversation with the doctor immediately after the surgery, and I was in no shape to get any details. That will happen when I see him in a few weeks. In the meantime, I was hoping to get some feedback from guys who have the Titan to see if they experienced any increase in length...

Re: Coloplast Titan and Length
There were no special circumstances in my case that would have led to the selection of one brand over the other. This particular doctor has done thousands of these procedures and apparently has developed a preference for Coloplast based on rigidity, reliability, ease of use, etc. I suppose I could h...
