Questions re Implant Revision
I was implanted with an AMS700 LGX in August 2012. Recovery went smoothly and pump worked well until September of 2013 when the pump started working erratically and then finally stopped working at all. (Impossible to get the pump inflated at all.) Uro and AMS rep agreed that it was a malfunctioning ...

Re: Any cyclists out there?
UTProspect ---- Thanks for the thorough response! I have taken my hybrid bike out for a spin with no problem whatsoever. I'm planning on taking out the road bike this weekend and seeing how it works. Was glad to get the reminder about the risks of seating whether or not I've had an implant. Before t...

Re: 3 WK Follow up from my Doc
How has everyone else dealt with the skittishness of messing with it? I was three weeks out when I saw my uro (I had my surgery on August 27) --- he wanted me to come in after six weeks, but I was hospitalized with an unrelated rapid heart rate and wanted to check in to see if there were any connec...

Re: observations reading post
another question I have is would you do the operation again if you had to? In doing my research before deciding to get an implant, I noticed that a majority of men who had already had implants noted that the only regret they had was they wished they had done it sooner. This was a real factor in my ...

Re: Adjusting to the Pump Questions (Five Weeks Post Implant)
Bionic and Jerry --- thanks for the encouragement and the advice --- willl keep on keeping on... Good info on the folds; I'm pretty sure this is happening so am experimenting with a few pumps to see if that resolves that problem. Also glad to know things keep changing and getting better.

Adjusting to the Pump Questions (Five Weeks Post Implant)
Greetings, I had an implant (AMS 700 LX) in late August and recovery is moving along well for me, though slower than I had thought. (I've five weeks post-surgery.) Part of the adjustment for me is occasional pain that I think is caused by friction of the angles of the pump against the scrotum. "...

Thanks for the advice from you both --- I found the Yahoogroup entries and they also recommended Adamo seats. I'm actually feeling more and more comfortable as I heal up so am likely to try out my old seating system first.

Re: Five weeks post implant
Hey Bowdre, Congratulations on your implant... I'm 12 weeks out and still get a little discomfort when I inflate completely, but I do it twice a day as instructed. I have most discomfort on the right side of mine. Where I know I have a great deal if scar tissues to break up. I inflate to just a lit...

Greetings from Boston
I’ve lived with ED for most of my life, due to a venous leakage that had gotten increasingly worse as I got older. Throughout my life, I blamed myself for not being able to maintain an erection. In my late 40’s, I consulted with urologists to try various solutions. Pills worked for awhile, injection...
Re: 9/13/2012
For me, the site itself was very sore. While it didn't hurt to walk per se, I didn't try doing that much because I was afraid of making the pain in the site even worse. Better to take it REALLY easy for the first few days and then easy for a few weeks more. I had my implant (AMS 700 Ultrex at Brigha...
