Re: Implant Cost without Insurance Coverage
Since this general post is in regard to cost of the procedure I thought I should make a comment here. As was pointed out in rimmy's initial post, I paid $15,000.00 for total cost of the implant, Dr.Williams fee, the surgery center and anesthesia fee! This is by far the least expensive of the pre-men...

Re: One Giant Step!
Howdy Gents! I'm happy to let everyone know that I had my "activation day" on Monday October 17th. Over 7 weeks from my surgery date. As it turns out I "activated" myself about 10+ days prior. The NP stated I have had a very good result and that she is pleased. The scar looks goo...

Re: One Giant Step!
Hi Gents! Here for a new update! I'm now 4+weeks post op. I still have a some tenderness around the pump but it appears to be improving. This sensitivity is only noticeable while tugging on the pump to lower it into the scrotum and examining the bulb(the grenade). There continues to be sensitivity a...

Re: Discomfort of pump in scrotum?
Phil I'm approximately 5 weeks post LGX. I have been on testosterone replacement therapy for 10 years so my testes have stunk from walnuts to glorified raisins! The pump "is" the largest occupant of my scrotum and I don't feel it with normal activities or sitting. If I didn't touch it I wo...

Re: One Giant Step!
Update! I'm now 3 weeks post op (approximately). This is where I stand, all bruising is gone and so is most of the the swelling except for the incision site. I still have a very sensitive penis as well as the area over the pump. I have been pulling on the pump (to lower it into the scrotum. Overall,...

Re: WIsconsin Implanters
Rimmy My advice to you would be to see Dr. Williams in Madison.(Williams Urology on the net). If nothing else hear what he has to say and see what you think. I think they had one of the best organized clinics, very professional. Remember you don't have to do anything you don't want to do! I took the...

Re: One Giant Step!
Evening Gents, Today was my 1st post -op visit. I met the NP and she said everything looked good. She instructed me on how to pull the pump lower into the scrotum. I have to do that at least 2-3 times daily for about 30 sec. Anyone been instructed to do it different? So far so good. Return visit in ...

Re: WIsconsin Implanters
As far as I'm concerned outpatient is the way to go unless you have some associated health issues that need to be monitored. First of for me the pain was not that big of a deal. Second, for those of us who have to pay out of pocket, it is certainly less expensive. I'm scheduled for a F/U appointment...
