Cystoscopy with implant
Hadn't been here in a while, so may not know most of you, but, anyway, Hey Guys! Hope all are doing well. As a result of PCa, I had an implant back in 2010. (AMS 700 Ultrex) Everything's been going well, but the last few months the pee stream is more difficult to start, especially early in the morni...

Re: implants and dribbling
Well, I think I've got this thing figured out. I have been following Dr's orders since our last visit where he said to pump it up at least 1 to 3 times a day. As some of you know, if you don't squeeze the little guy while holding the release valve open, he will not completely deflate. I guess I've b...

implants and dribbling
Okay, I've had my implant now since Dec. 15, 2010. Prior to the implant, I was 99.9999999% continent with virtually zero dribbling unless I had a full bladder and sneezed, coughed, or strained in some way. (It can sneak up on you trying to deliver a good fart.) Anyway, now when I pee, and tuck junio...

Re: keep watch
That is so very interesting Tom. It also explains (maybe) why my uro takes a urine specimen each and every time I have an appointment.
Very good information to share.

Difference in implant prosthesis
I am curious about the specific differences in the different AMS implant products. Within the AMS series, there is the Ultrex, LGX, CX, CXM, and CXR. Does anyone know what the specific differences are in these devices? My Doc implanted the Ultrex in me. Others have received the LGX. What is the diff...

Keeping it pointing UP ^
Merry Christmas everyone; For those of you who have been through the implant process, and even for those of us currently dealing with it, I'm wondering what methods you have found success with for keeping it pointing "UP" as we've all been told to do. It's been one of my biggest challenges...
