Re: Unable to pump anymore
"My bulb goes flat around 36 pumps so I cannot pump more if I wanted to (which I would)". The same thing happened to me after my second implant. It turned out the doctor had used a reservoir that was too small that didn't hold enough saline solution for complete inflation. That meant anoth...

Re: Conscious during implant surgery?
I had the spinal for, I think, my first implant in 1995. The main thing I remember about it is that it seemed strange to not feel anything when major surgery was being performed in such a sensitive area. If you want to be awake and talk to people, go for it. Your mind will be a bit hazy during this ...

Re: Revision size increases
My first implant in 1995 was an AMS Ultrex that lasted about 3 1/2 years. It was replaced with the same thing in 1999. That one lasted about about 14 years and was then replaced with the same version, although it was then, as now, called the AMS 700 LGX. All three turned out to be the same 6 1/4 ...

Almost straight down, same as it's been most of your life.
Re: Article
40 pumps to hard and reservoir empty seems more accurate too assuming full wall to wall pumps which one seldom succeeds beyond 20 pumps.
This is the way it is for me.

Re: Why don't implants last longer?
today's implant not all that much improved from 30 years ago
I agree. The first AMS I got in 1995 is almost identical to this third one I got in 2013. The only thing different is the pump and the first one was the best of the bunch.

Re: 20 % of implants will stop working by five years....
My first implant failed after about 3 1/2 years. The second failed after about 14 1/2 years. Both were the AMS Ultrex. This third is an AMS LGX, which is supposedly an improvement over the Ultrex. The only differences I notice is that it now comes covered with an antibiotic and the one-touch pump. I...
Re: Edging
The physical sensations and the delaying of orgasm you mention were the same post-implant as before. None of that changed at all for me.
