Re: Insurance Nightmare

Well I have not paid anything. I don’t have the money to pay. I’m just hoping they will honor their word and do what they said they would do. I hate being in the situation but it was really devastating to find out 8 days post op while trying to recover. Time will tell. I’ve talked to the hospital tw...

Re: Insurance Nightmare

Well I’ve had numerous revisions and insurance has always covered it. This is the first time under our new company insurance that this issue has came up. I have not considered another type implant. I’ve only saw one guy at the gym with the Malleable and it looked very uncomfortable and unnatural in ...

Insurance Nightmare

Well I had my revision on 2/13/24. I had several conversations with my insurance . I got mixed messaging about it had to be pre approved and that it wasn’t required because it was out patient surgery. They then sent in writing that it was a covered service based on the CPT codes. Insurance then noti...

Re: Two week postop

I’m 12 days postop. I have a doctors visit Wednesday. I’m good and still no pain but the last couple of days I’ve been having a lot of swelling in my sack and fluid under the skin on my shaft close to the base. I been icing and trying to elevate the area but still having issues. My sack was the size...

Re: Implant failure

Not sure which implant you have. I’d had several failures. I never knew what the issue was until after the revision. Each time I’d had a failure the pump would go flat and not allow any additional fluid to pass in order to fill the cylinders. If you run out of fluid the pump will go flat. Not sure t...

Re: Had revision 2/13/24. (Another Revision completed)

Friday Day #3 post surgery: Everything is going great. I have not had any pain so no meds for that. I’ve taken my antibiotics daily. I removed my drain which was different…very funny feeling and I had forgotten the length of that sucker. I was able to shower afterwards and that in itself made me fee...

Re: Had revision 2/13/24. (Another Revision completed)

Thanks for your support. Dr Hakky said the surgery went well and expects a great outcome. I still have no soreness and very little bruising. I took the mummy wrap off tonight. Things have been compressed but are loosening up. I can feel all the pump and release valve area. I still have the drain in ...

Re: Had revision 2/13/24. (Another Revision completed)

Well day two post surgery. Hoping to be able to use the restroom today. I’m not having any pain. The wrap is still on and drain is still in. They both are to be removed tomorrow and then I can shower. These sink baths remind me of primitive camping when I was a kid. lol I’ve been doing a lot of just...

Re: sad news after the euphoria (pump problems)

Sorry that you are having an issue. I don’t have the AMS so I don’t know how their pump works. Have you call the doctor who did your surgery? I had a pump on a titan fail after just 3 months post revision a few years ago.
I hope you can get an answer. Please keep us posted!
Good luck
Ron
