Re: Looking for likes/ dislikes those who had infrapubic implant
Mine was done that way about three months ago. The only problem I had was that the stitch line bubbled up for a while as the stitches dissolved. I think it made the pump easier to operate because the incision is much higher. I never experienced swelling or bruising and was off pain meds on the secon...

Re: Surgery scheduled
I finally have my surgery scheduled with Dr Milam in Nashville. I saw him in August, but I don't go on Medicare until December 1st. So the woman who schedules surgery said we'd have to wait until I got my Medicare information. Now I'm scheduled for January 14th. I figure it will be April or so befo...

Re: Activation
Doc specifically said to wait six weeks. Don't know if I am a special snowflake or not but in addition to two balls I also have a varicocele and an AUS 800 pump, so my sack runneth over so to speak. Activation
Had a AMS 700 implant about a month ago and am scheduled for activation in a couple of weeks. What exactly does the doctor do to activate it? I can't find anything that specifically states what he does.

Re: Friday 14th, Joining the Bionic Brotherhood
I just had my implant done last Thursday. My surgery was a little more involved than some because I have a pacemaker and an AUS 800 implant. They had to deactivate the defib part of my pacemaker because some of them will react to the electronic scalpel that they use. They used a spinal block on me b...
