Re: First pump up...not sure about it...

Here is where I'm at now. I am getting to where I can squeeze the pump and inflate. I can feel the liquid squeezing through the bulb. Tell me if I am too concerned or anxious: I am not by any means pumping up to full inflation. (BTW...I am now just short of 4 weeks). I'd say I can get it to where it...

First pump up...not sure about it...

I am about 5 hours away from my doctor. Visited him last week, and he said I am progressing very well. He said I may not need to come again, but of course can if needed. My instructions are to start pumping up today. He said for this week just do 2-3 pumps. So, I attempted it this morning. I can't t...

Re: Deflate-> Pain similar to squeezing testicles?

Appreciate the input. A little more input on my situation and an update. I should probably put this in my Sig, but I did NOT have the surgery done scrotally. Given that, I did not expect the scrotum to be particularly sensitive. Although I certainly had a lot of black bruising. Another interesting p...

Deflate-> Pain similar to squeezing testicles?

I am two weeks out from surgery. Day after surgery before leaving hosiptal, one doctor came by and during the visit pulled the pump ball down. It was quite painful...I thought he was also squeezing my left testicle. Yesterday visiting my doctor, I was deflated, and it too felt that way. The doctor t...

Re: First day...

Had a visit with the doctor yesterday. They deflated, and removed staples. I was told I had not pulled the pump bulb down enough, and was told that this week I need to pull that down and 'practice' pressing the deflation points. He said to do that every time I urinate. Was told to do hot shower twic...

Re: First day...

Thought I'd update a bit. My Dr location is almost 5 hours away from my home. I stayed locally there for 2 days, and saw Dr. on second day before heading home. I did not have a catheter installed to have to deal with. I am not 9 days post op. My swelling is pretty much gone, at least any that is vis...

Re: First day...

By the way, I'm sure someone will ask... pubic, not scrotal surgery.

Post-Op - Day 1 to 14

I had my surgery yesterday. Dr. Perito in Coral Gables, FL. I haven't met with him yet this morning. I do have a couple questions for him. He told my wife yesterday while I was still out that he thought I'd be pleased, and that the curve I had is gone. Said I should be very sore. But, looking at the...

Re: Considering Implant - Venous leak - Other options?

Whether you have a venous leak or not, it you have had 5 years of ED following a radical prostatectomy, the only real solution for your ED is an implant. Those nerves that your surgeon allegedly spared are not going to spring back to life. I am very happy with my implant. JFYI...I had successful er...

Considering Implant - Venous leak - Other options?

After a radical prostatectomy (nerve sparing), and over a 5 year period more and more problems with ED, trying pills, then shots (success at first but not now): I've been reading and participating some in this forum, studying implants. I had decided I probably should go that route. Having found the ...
