Re: Implants for peyronies
Well ... there's actually a longer story -- meaning I left out the intermediate steps -- which I'm happy to share. Here goes: how long was your recovery? My urologist thought Coloplast was better for me but, after 8 weeks or so, I was still very swelled up scrotally and she decided to remove it. I t...

Re: Implants for peyronies
My Peyronies was 100% corrected by the implant of an AMS LGX a little over a year ago. It was a recommendation from my urologist, and, until she mentioned it, I had never heard of an implant. She suggested I consider it instead of the injection therapy that was in vogue (at least 1-3 years ago) sinc...

Re: Australian Implant - REMOVED
I have read where a person with an infection was flushed with antibiotics of several kinds then re-implanted with the opposing brand and had good results. Alibaba is correct. This is what happened to me. My urologist thought Coloplast was better for me but, after 8 weeks or so, I was still very swe...

Re: Who told you about implant surgery?
I got a standard appointment with a urologist (not anyone I knew) at Kaiser Southern California because I wanted to see about treatments that had recently become available for Peyronie's disease. She told me about shots and the likelihood of cure, but then she asked me if I also suffered from ED. I ...

Re: Practicallity of Malleable/Semi-Rigid prostheses
I had an implant that had to be removed a little over a year ago. It was replaced by a semi-rigid to keep the channels open, and my uro agreed that, if I liked it, I'd just keep it. I didn't. Or I should say we (my wife and I) didn't. It was too small and too non-rigid for penetration. We tried many...

Re: What's Going On?
Something similar happened to me. I had a Titan implanted; all seemed okay. But the swelling never went down, after 6-8 weeks, in the scrotum sac where the pump was located. They treated it as if it would turn out to be an infection, but, after many lab tests, there was none. It was just clear liqui...

Re: I'm proberly due a revision...
I agree with KMeister. My first surgery hurt like hell. The second was to remove the first Titan and replace with a malleable; moderate pain. The third, to implant an AMS LGX, was a piece of cake in comparison: very little pain and quick recovery.

Re: Pro's & Con's
To provide a counter-balance, I had a failed Titan implant and a successful LGX, both infra-pubic. Mine wasn't done by a super-star surgeon but she seems to have done everything right, and I've had none of the problems that others talk about with the LGX. 3 ½ months out, both my wife and I are very ...
