Re: 3 piece to malleable- anyone else?

I am one guy that had an infection and a malleable put in one side, and then ultimately everything removed. I would say have the surgery asap so you can get the infection cleared. My original surgeon wasted two surgeries messing around with cleaning up the infection and should have just removed all...

Insurance for out-of-town patients in US

If you are a Canadian patient and get surgery in the US, it seems like infections can take 2-3 weeks to surface. What happens if you have already returned back to Canada and discover the infection after a few weeks. I know you'd probably have to go back to the US surgeon to temporarily get a salvage...

Re: Pain Post-Implant

Hey guys, I'm at just over 5 weeks post-surgery. Great outcome cosmetically (also close to my length back and girth unchanged). Feel minimal pain while deflated. On max inflation, definitely still painful. I can hold it for about 20-30 mins, but then the pain sets in (especially in the glans). Does...

Re: Tips to Maximize Lifespan of Implant

Seriously. Use it till it breaks. Get it fixed. Use it till it breaks. Get it fixed. Very simple answer. Haha nice....I like that mindset! I guess you should look at it like a car. They all need maintenance & eventually wear out. As hard as it might be to get it thru our thick skulls. The best ...

How hard should I pump?

2 weeks post-op...pain going down daily... Can currently pump to about 0.5" of my pre-implant size. At that point, the pump gets hard and even if I try really hard, it's tough to get more pumps out. At 2 weeks, I'm nervous of trying to press down too hard on the pump. Think it's a good idea to ...

Re: Revision this morning. Decided to give Titan one more shot.

Thanks for the support, everyone. The second surgery was a breeze. It's only been 24 hours and I barely have any pain. Only at the incision site, and it's minor. Perito is a magician. I'm hoping to get a lot more lifespan out of Titan #2. But if not, I figure a malleable plus UroFill girth enhancem...

Re: Tips to Maximize Lifespan of Implant

Just use it - failures in my AMS700 were due to poor placement of the pump and tubing (caused kinks that eventually cracked (same as a garden hose does). If your device is placed correctly it should not matter how you have the pump when you want to inflate (within reason). Avoid kinking the tubing ...

Tips to Maximize Lifespan of Implant

Any tips on things to avoid / or things to proactively do in order to maximize lifespan? - e.g. pumping technique - is it ok to pull the pump to the side and pump. Or is it better to just keep it in the implanted position and pump? - Is using something like a donut cushion while sitting helpful so t...
