Re: Economics of an Implant

this may not quite fit in this thread so if it's a hi-jack please forgive me. My bill when all said and done from docs and hosp was $80,000. How does that compare to others? Thankfully I have good insurance or couldn't have done it. I'm very happy with the results. After prostate cancer, prostatecto...

Re: insurance

my ins. co. never batted an eye. my implant was due to peyronies but I also had a prostatectomy a year earlier for pc but I know the urology office had to submitt peyronies as the primary reason tho. Does your co. pay for breast reconstruction or prosthesis? I hope you can successfully appeal. bs is...

Re: Returning to work after implant surgery?

as has been said about much of the specifics concerning implant surgery, each individual has their own experiences. I planned to take a week off - ended up taking three. I had trouble controlling post-op pain from implant modeling / molding due to severe peyronies. I've had other injuries and surger...

Re: peyronie's, implant - post surgery pain.

Cangrats brian. Sounds like things went/are going well. Ice for the swelling as I'm sure you know. Going back to work... i think it depends how your doing. If you feel up to it and have the ok from your doc go for it. imo i can't see doing any damage and if the pain is too much - let admin know ahea...

Re: peyronie's, implant - post surgery pain.

So I went back to the doc today for what everyone calls activation. First, I think my surgeon did a great job. There were two surgeons for the 3 + hour surgery. Again, because of sever peyronies my ordeal seems a bit abnormal. But my penis is straight! The cylinders are up into the glans. My size is...

Re: Becoming LGX_Man (for those thinking of getting an implant)

thanks for the story. a good read. i'm about 4 1/2 weeks post-op now. As i've said on other threads i received no post-op instruction. after reading on this forum i've tried to pul my pump dow - it seems too high. there are cavity like areas at the base of my penis and tubes there. the tubes are not...

Re: Difficulty massaging down pump ...

hmmm. my doc told me not to worry about it. he said a patient once ripped his scrotum incision open and he doesn't think it's necessary. mine does seem too high though. should I be trying to get it down? I'm 4 weeks 4 days post-op.

Re: peyronie's, implant - post surgery pain.

time for another update. it's been 3 1/2 weeks since my surgery and things are going fairly well. I'm not in so much pain and can get around fine but am still quite sore. being so sore I really can't feel the pump much. I've tried to find the release valve button but can't. the pump seems to be qite...

Re: implants and dribbling

i'm only 3 weeks past implant surgery and i bought pads for this problem. i recovered well from prostate surgery and had minimal if any dribble before implant. i'm hoping this will go away with time too. maybe others with more time post surgery could give us an opinion...
