Re: New Here
Chris Had my prostate surgery two years ago and despite hope from my surgeon I never returned to my youthful vigor. My case was complicated by Peyronies as well. The injections were painful and just not spontaneous enough. I opted for the implant. While it isn't what I was when I was 30 or 40 (unfor...

Re: How long does it take to get used to this thing in your sack
TO my fellow implantees thanks for all the good advice. Things have calmed down now. The pump is a natural part of me now and only time I notice it is if I am sitting on my boat and bouncing with some waves. The penal irritation lessens each day. I found myself getting down because there is a real s...

How long does it take to get used to this thing in your sack
My surgery was 6/15 and I was about 70% inflated for the first two weeks. It wasn't so much pain as it was discomfort. I find my penis is sticking out and very sensitive. The doctor deflated it about a little more than half after the first two weeks and that hurt like hell. The next week he deflated...

Jake
I was 9 days out and walking aroubnd with what I now call the stubby chubby. The partial inflation was causing a lot of discomfort. I saw my surgeon yesterday and he deflated it some-- damn that hurt but it gave me great relief. I can now comfortably wear a jock and put on pants

Re: Need a bigger liquor cabinet
Welcome to the club. I was diagnosed in Nov. 2009 and had robotic surgery two weeks later. 5 days later my surgeon told me it was a cure! My tumor was self contained and my follow up PSA readings have been 0's. I was told that within 18 months I should see normal functioning but one of the nerve bra...

Day 8 Post op
NO change. Still have this mini hard on and not due to see doc until another 10 days. It is like having perpetual blue balls. Not painful just inconvenient and uncomfortable. Still swollen in the scrotum so I can't tell where the pump is.

Re: I have become bionic.
I had my surgery on 6/15 and saw my surgeon the next day to remove the Cath. I asked about pumping and pulling on the pump and he said leave it alone and come back in three weeks. I has pre-existing Peyronies and have a great deal of discomfort which I attribute to stretching the prior fibrotic area...

Re: Insurance - Another Newbie
I just had my implant surgery. I have Oxford/United Healthcare and the doc put down organic impotence following radical prostatectomy and they approved it no problem. Sorry to hear you are going through this. Unfortunately the culture in many insurance companies is to deny coverage and wear you down...
