Re: Caverject and pain
I am on alprostadil injections and dose between 30 and 40 micrograms which is a fairly high dose. The pain starts about 45 minutes in and lasts about 3 hours. Long after the med has lost its effectiveness to provide a full erection. I do want to try trimix or even better bimix if it would work since...

Re: injected 4 days in a row
Thanks for the advice. I'm looking. Actually asked the compound pharmacy who has been prescribing trimix. I think daily with trimix if used that way wouldn't be as harsh as straight alprostadil. That's one of the reasons I would like to try trimix. There seems to be some pain associated with the hig...

injected 4 days in a row
Ok, so have read on here where injections were done multiple days in a row or even multiple time a night. I had a run of days where I have now injected for the last 4 days and my dick didn't fall off but it is sore. I am using alprostadil 40mcg/ml and have injected 0.6ml or 24mcg. That is what I hav...

Re: Aprostadil>Bimix>Trimix>Quadmix?
I am on Alprostadil from a compound pharmacy. Edex was going to be about $100 a shot for 20mcg. I got 100mcg in 5ml for $45. I am seeing doc next week and going to ask him for a higher concentration of 100mcg/ml which would be 500mcg in 5ml. The pharmacist said that would only be about $55. I guess ...

Re: What is the difference between CaverJect and trimix?
I agree with the above. And yes Caverject is Alprostadil. My compound pharmacy charges $42 for 5ml. They charge about the same for Trimix. Depending on your dose it can vary from a few bucks to about $7-$10 a dose. A far cry from $100 a shot. I did call the pharmacy to see which UROs in my area pres...

Re: 1st injection with Alprostadil
Last night did injection number 2. Went up to 14mcg/0.7ml of Alprostadil. Worked great. My wife said I am bigger and after she orgasmed we had to stop because she was getting sore. Not used to the activity after the long layoff of non-penatrable sex. She took care of me and we took it slow. Stayed f...

Re: What is the difference between CaverJect and trimix?
Caverject and Edex is Alprostadil. What I have is just Alprostadil no other additives. That's why my doc was OK prescribing it. He wrote the script for 20mcg/ml to dispense 5ml. Caverject and Edex comes in 20mcg strength. They are expensive partly because of the system they use. With my script, like...

Re: What is the difference between CaverJect and trimix?
Ran into the same issue when my doc prescribed edex at $100 a shot. Talked him into generic Alprostadil from a compound pharmacy at about $7 a shot. Same med as Caverject.

Re: 1st injection with Alprostadil
Thanks Fordman and Tomas. My doc does prescribe Trimix but wants to try Alprostadil first. Says overall it can be safer as far as side effects go. I think it's an individualized thing. Sitting here 7 hours after injecting the ache has subsided. But I can see checking out Trimix if the ache gets wors...

1st injection with Alprostadil
Hi all. I have been reading posts for a while and about a month ago talked to my URO about injections. I had tried all the different pills that worked for about 6-7 years but then didn't for maybe the last year. I am turning 60 next month and only on BP meds. The doc said that he wanted to prescribe...
