Looks good Jack!
Did Dr Eid discuss why he's using the Classic pump now instead of OTR, or was that your decision?

Re: Broken Titan?
titan one touch Sorry to hear about the pump, I have the same one. Hopefully it's a tubing issue that can be repaired without removing the pump. You might ask your surgeon if he recommends changing to a different pump than the Touch when you get the revision. There are posts here about doctors pref...

Re: anyone who has titan years?
I've had a Titan Touch since December 2017, no problems at all. I would go with Titan again for a replacement.

Re: EID in NY June 14 -- Help with preparations
Hi Treetop, glad to hear you are going to see Dr Eid. I'm coming up on 7 years, no issues so far. I stocked up on food at local Whole Foods so I would not have to leave the room after surgery until I left for home. Room service was available but I didn't need it, and all the local cafes will deliver...

Re: Catheter Ablation for AFib with Implant?
Thank you both, I feel a lot better now!
Sounds like the implant won't be an issue but I'll definitely make the doctor aware of it.

Catheter Ablation for AFib with Implant?
Guys, anybody here with an IPP who's also had a catheter ablation procedure for atrial fibrillation (AFib)? During the procedure a catheter gets inserted into an artery somewhere in the groin, and I'm concerned the IPP reservoir or tubing could be in the way or get damaged. Just curious if anyone ha...

Re: Implant 9/29/23 - Dr. Eid
Your progress sounds great, I also flew in from CA for my surgery with Eid, no regrets after nearly five years. My post-op appointment was also on a Monday, and after discussion with Dr Eid I elected to leave the catheter in place for the flight home. That was a good decision as I could relax on the...

Re: Medicare Question & Thank You
I have Medicare. It says “Medi-Cal Managed Care Health Net (DHS)” I'm confused about what medical coverage you have, Medicare is not the same as Medi-Cal. Medi-Cal is California's version of Medicaid. Traditional Medicare does cover implants and most doctors will accept it, I went to Dr Eid. I thin...

Re: New patient processes among doctors?
What I'm getting at is the process to get scheduled... I think for instance - and I'm FAR from certain on this, that Dr. Eid has you get a cardiologist approval prior (understandable), but maybe you can only see specific ones he has selected? When I went to Dr Eid in 2017 a pre-approval exam was re...
