Re: Are revisions easier than the initial surgery?
I had my initial surgery 8 years ago with AMS 18 +2 RTE. One of the pump tubes gave out 2 months ago. Cyclinders were both fine. Had revision of AMS 21cm installed 4 weeks ago. Revision healing is mostly smooth.. although I had some discomfort in the pubic area where the old reservoir was taken out ...

Re: Scrotal swelling
Its been 10 days post op. My scrotum is finally beginning to go down. I has gone down nearly half of what it was 4 days ago ;-) I am 4 weeks and 2 days post revision surgery. It takes time. Swelling did not go down till 2.5 weeks post surgery. Use ice infrequently to numb. Stay on Tylenol and Aleve...

Re: i have a lot of questions about implant
and can you do anything extream sports after implant surgery? forexample, swimming, ring a bike, boxing, mma , and so on. I have a similar question to @zlsej9218, so let me ask in his thread. Yoga and bicycle riding (100+ miles) are two of my lifelong activities that I don't want to compromise. Aft...

Re: Pump bulb placement on revision
I never had a problem when it was in the back for 8 years. It will be easy to pump being front and forward now..but it just feels different having my right testicle hidden .. I bet the tubing length from the pump bulb to the cylinders is shorter than it was from my first implant . Which will be bett...

Pump bulb placement on revision
Hi all, I am 10 days post revision, with a new AMS LGX 21cm Since healing. Deflated 100 % by Dr post surgery. Difficult to get the old reservoir out, so needed to heal uninflated, but will get inflated in a week. So.. the Dr installed my pump bulb where my right testicle is, and pulled the right tes...

Re: Revision "Sizing Up"?
I had my revision done on Thursday AM. Pretty black and blue from the removal of busted device and reservoir and new insertion. Kept ice packs on for 3 days..
Is there any point in still using ice on day 4 to reduce swelling and bruising?
Just taking Aleve since Friday night.
Thanks

Re: Revision "Sizing Up"?
Well ..I just had my revision done yesterday. Got the icepacks on and taking it easy. The Dr sized me up from an 18 +2 RTE to a 21 AMS. Glad the AMS rep was in OR with all the sizes. I guess they will take the old one back to research department to figure out the failure with the tube..might have be...
