Re: Is the hassle worth the moments you can have sex
I'm going to offer maybe another opinion here... I have late onset type 1 diabetes. diagnosed at 35. 53 now. Somewhere around age 40 to 45 I stared having occasional trouble maintaining an erection. Prior to that, never a problem. Side effects from poor diabetes management. Ignored it since it only ...

Re: Wives, girlfriends thoughts?
For me, pills worked some early on, my wife was good with those while they worked - allowed for a mostly normal sex life briefly. They didn't work for long for me (probably should have started them earlier), and after my heart attack they were no longer an option. VED was next. Was able to get decen...

postponed.
I had been scheduled to have implant surgery on Oct 6. I had some things happen that prompted me to postpone my surgery. I had built a sort of "house of cards" of conditions where I could have the surgery. All of these conditions fell into place right up until until they didn't anymore. I ...

Re: Going forward with the implant
I hope it doesn't end up being a tease, but I got a request from the hospital surgical center to fill out and submit my health history questionnaire yesterday. As of now, things are still on track

Going forward with the implant
Haven't posted in quite a while. Implant is scheduled for Oct 6th, assuming they're still doing elective surgeries at that date. Covid has severely limited the beds available for elective surgeries with an overnight stay. Sometimes none at all, so we'll see. I was able to get my A1c down from 9 to 7...

Dr. Elizabeth Phillips will be doing the surgery. As I understand it, she's the best in my region.

Going forward with implant
Haven't posted on here for a few months. I had been trying the trimix injections with little success on the strongest mix available. I made up to 70 units before giving up as the pain was too much to be offset by any pleasure. I am still occasionally using smaller doses as 20u and 70u seem to have a...

Re: Basic questions...
Thanks for the feedback. Lots to think about. I still have two teenagers at home which will add greatly to the awkward factor if I proceed. Also, as far as I know, no PD. I've always had the downward curve. I don't believe it ever changed much if at all, and never caused any trouble for me or my par...

So if I read this correctly, I'm looking at potentially several weeks of missed work to recover from this surgery? That's probably a deal breaker if that's the case

Basic questions...
I'm sure these have all been answered already, but that's a lot of posts to wade through and time is not my friend right now. My urologist thinks I'd be a good candidate for an implant. I have been reluctant to even consider it, but it may be my only option now. Trimix so far isn't working at the le...
