Re: Novel implant

This product seems to be similar to a heart pace maker. Both do electrical stimulation to achieve a result. Difference is the use of a remote control. I am guessing that the implant would need a battery replacement after a period of time, so I guess some future surgery would be needed. Still it is a...

Re: Novel implant

Interesting info. It is from a European manufacturer, there website doesn't say if available in the U.S. Curious to hear from anyone who can post here, who has this implant, and therefore can give a testimonial of product effectiveness.

Doesn't seem like it will work on someone with a venous leak.

There is a lazier treatment called the green light to treat your problem. A friend had that done with good results. Probably worth looking into.

Re: Does revision surgery increase the infection rate a lot ???

Since you are young, and hopefully healthy, your immune system should be good at attacking any bacteria. I think cleanliness at time of any surgery is the deciding factor as to what any bacteria gets introduced into the body. 10% sounds awfully high, I think any doctor, or hospital would consider th...

Re: Pain block

Yes, I should have titled this topic nerve block, not pain block. Nerve block is the correct title. I recently had a nerve block, when I had my shoulder joint replaced. I was impressed how well it suppressed pain for roughly the first day and a half after surgery. After that, I took only a few oxy p...

Re: Pain block

I just don't read of guys talking about getting a pain block during implant surgery. Is this just not done much, do you have to ask for it prior to surgery??

Pain block

Do you have to ask your surgeon for a pain block at time of surgery, or is a pain block automatically given by all surgeons? I saw the following utube video, and just wonder.

Re: Post op question on swelling

I am not implanted, but had a vasectomy many years back. At the time of surgery, the doc said that some nerves are cut, that result in much less sensitivity of the scrotum. I have noticed much less pain, should my twins experience trauma. So, I am thinking I would have less scrotum pain should I get...

Re: Cystoscopy blues

I had my first cystoscopy upon recovery from prostate removal surgery. I was having a lot of pain upon peeing. Doc says lets "take a look," I did get the urethera entry numbing agent, but my problem was with the urethera, why high up where it connects to the bladder. Numbing agent did noth...
