Insurance Setback

I was eagerly looking forward to my penile implant surgery, originally scheduled for yesterday in Philadelphia, PA. I jumped through all the hoops, had clearance from my family doctor and my cardiologist, thought I was ready to go. But three weeks ago I got a call from my surgeon's office saying my ...

Re: I think my pump is broken

I'm curious where the info comes from that is the basis for some saying implant surgery is on the decline. It was mid-December 2017 when I finally finished jumping through all the hoops to get my surgery scheduled, and it's set for March 1st, 2018, not because I was putting it off, but because that ...

Re: How to keep it private?

I'm not "advertising" my upcoming surgery, but I'm not overly concerned about keeping it a secret, either. Maybe I'm less concerned because of my age (almost 66). But I want my adult sons to know about it. I've already told my oldest son, and will share with the younger one before surgery,...

Re: Going Back to Work (Driving)

Me too... I love my recliner. :) Larry Oh, that answers another question. I saw a number of posts that talk about recovering in bed, but I was hoping to spend time in my recliner, which makes TV and Internet available to me. Thanks for all the advice on back to work; it's not lost on me, anxious as...

Yikes! Not what I wanted to hear … but thanks, guys, for the responses. It is helpful having a better idea what to expect so I can plan ahead.

Going Back to Work (Driving)

One of my biggest remaining pre-implant questions is having a realistic idea of how long it might be until I can go back to work after my implant surgery, barring any complications. As much as I'd like to be retired, I'm not at that point yet. I still work full time as a tour bus driver, driving an ...

Plumber, Freddy, I don't disagree with you. That's certainly the majority opinion. I need to talk to the doctor some more and understand better why he recommends it.

Re: Implanted penis is impossible to get 90 degrees erection?

Fundle, I'm surprised that your surgeon is recommending cutting the suspensory ligament. I thought that was not a good idea, especially for implant patients. Can you explain what your doctor told you. I was surprised, too, especially considering it's gotten a lot of negative feedback over the years...

Re: Implanted penis is impossible to get 90 degrees erection?

To those of you that don't make it to 3 o'clock, did any of you have the suspensory ligament cut? That's one of the things that worries me most about having that part of the procedure (if I follow my surgeon's recommendation to cut it).
