I had the same problem with my wife originally, you can and will get better at it if you keep at it. I find the more I can pin her legs back, the better. Fortunately my wife is pretty flexible that way, but even lifting one leg up end back a bit should help.

Those programs work a bit for winter, but I can't stick to 'em long term. If for some reason I can't find a good saddle/position to ride with, I'll probably buy a recumbent bike. I'd have taken my bike out already if it weren't raining and chilly all the time, so I think it's good for me to wait, ha...

Good luck on getting back at it! I have a heart condition as well, so I won't ever get back to where I was I suppose, but I really won't quit the sport. I'm doing pretty well on recovery now, but I guess I won't know until I sit on the saddle and ride around a bit.

Just curious how long everyone waited before getting back in the saddle. I bought a selle italia max cutout saddle, hoping that helps a lot, seemed to prior to surgery.
