Re: New Implant - pain
So tomorrow will be 3 weeks since my implant. (This was a re-do, after having a malleable installed in March, and then having it removed and replaced with the AMS700 LGX.) I had high hopes that this would be easier since the opening was already there, but boy was I wrong. It's been rough, but I'm gl...

Re: New Implant - pain
16 days post-op now, still not happy but hanging in there. I've had a couple of setbacks. As I posted at 9 days out, my surgeon told me (because I was concerned about the right crook in my dick) that if I wanted to I could try inflating it a bit, and that it would help to straighten it out. BIG mist...

Re: New Implant - pain
I am 10 days out now (AMS 700 LGX). I have a few painful issues still, and am uncertain but trusting that they are still "normal." One thing I'm noticing now (more yesterday than today) is that as the pubic hair grows back, there is a critical stage when it's about 1/8" long that it f...

Re: New Implant - pain
I am now 9 days post-op with AMS-700 LGX. It hurts. I can go most of the day without major issues but when I'm lying down at night periodically it feels like the doctor left a pin or scalpel blade inside me. Shooting, sharp pain. I don't know if this is normal, but it is what it is. Furthermore, my ...

Re: Bad experience with malleable/sem-rigid implant--had it removed
I wish I had found out more, and I wish my doctor had been more informative. The reason I opted for it was the simplicity. Nothing to fail. But instead it was a failure from the start. I really think it should be taken off the market.

Bad experience with malleable/sem-rigid implant--had it removed
I am a 62-year old healthy, happily married male that had a radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer that left me with ED. After four years of trying drugs and external pumps and just living with it, I opted for the implant route. My Urologist seemed unwilling to steer me in one direction or anothe...
