I have a pos-t-vac VED which is touted to be 'medical grade' and does not have a gauge. Been using it for a couple years. As the others have said, take your time and slowly work up time used and amount of vacuum. Be sensible, just as you would gently enter an exercise program such as weight lifting.

I agree completely with other commenters.. you can try using one of those collar type things that help distribute the pressure against the pubic area... and... above all.. reduce the vacuum and time under vacuum. the 5 second thing is merely a suggestion. 4 or less might very well be appropriate.. e...
