Re: Introduction and implant info - Updated.
Met with the doc and Boston Rep today (exactly 3 weeks after the surgery) and we deflated and inflated a few times. I say "we" as my Boston rep is a really funny lady and she had ZERO issue demonstrating how it worked on me - which was fine. At this point, only about 5 people on the planet...

Re: Introduction and implant info
Thanks! The PD is pretty good now. I've always had a lean to about 11pm, so that is the same, but the PD "kink" is gone. Doc did some manual modelling since the plaque was apparently not bad enough to warrant going after it. Still dorking around with placement and getting nowhere other tha...

Re: Introduction and implant info
Day 18 Update: No real pain since surgery, mostly just some discomfort as the new neighbor tends to piss off the left tenant mostly. I've been able to move the pump around just enough to make it reasonable. I did have an issue around Day 8 where the infighting was bad enough I took a day to lay flat...

Re: Introduction and implant info
Long time since my original posting. I've changed jobs 2 times now since originally posting this. Last company didn't discriminate, just didn't cover it, and was so old school that they didn't want to either. The job wasn't worth staying with and I've gotten a fantastic new job that I love. The good...

Re: Fight insurance or pay for it?
Same issue here: https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=12370 Have gone multiple rounds, Boston has been helpful, but I'm fighting what my employer has exempted. Sexual discrimination is what I'm now after and they aren't budging. Got a complaint filed with EEOC, but just to TALK to them i...

Re: Introduction and implant info
Boston Medical referred me to Morgan & Morgan - I just sent an inquiry and will let you know what they say from the legal standpoint.

Re: Introduction and implant info
The circle-jerk continues. Cigna denies, my company tells me to go thru Cigna. Cigna denies, HR says they can't do anything... This just hit my inbox from HR today: This letter responds to your request for a written response related to the denial of your claim for certain medical services. XYZ Inc. ...

Re: Introduction and implant info
So, here's the official HR response: We appreciate your patience while we investigated your inquiry. We performed a thorough review of both the plan document and the HDHP summary plan description and confirmed that the requested procedure is specifically listed as an exclusion by the plan. We are ob...

Re: Introduction and implant info
Well, I am talking to the nice folks at Boston Medical, and will reach back out to the Dr. for the specific codes they used. However, I don't hold much hope for that. I do have a contact in HR that is looking at some things for me. They are currently investigating internally with our partners and ho...

Since ERISA does not mandate any type of benefit coverage, plan sponsors are generally free to ...
