Re: Pump not working
UPDATE 11/2021 The Urologist (that happens to be in the Boston Scientific list) contacted the Rep and told him my story. The Rep called me and got some information from me, to verify what unit had been implanted. The Rep called me back and said they would cover the replacement of the unit and would ...

Re: Pump not working
He is well respected and one of the top in OKC. He is also recommended by Boston Scientific as "Preferred". I don't believe the Doctor is the issue. The complain is premature failure of the implant! BS should step up and accept responsibility for the failure of their product. I wonder how ...

Re: Pump not working
Wish it was that simple. Doctor said since he doesn't know where the leak is occurring, best replace the entire implant.

Re: Pump not working
Apparently BSC revised their warranty in 2018. It now states 1 year. I have TV's with longer warranty. If I remember correctly, the bill was about $60K. The insurance was billed about $20K. The doctor's bill was $5K. The biggest expense was the hospital. My out of pocket was around $5K. In addition,...

Re: Pump not working
UPDATE: Background: Initially (when first implanted May 2019) it was hard to get activated. After a couple of visits to the Doctor, we got it going. After the first 3 month, it got easier to pump and get activated. Fast forward and in Dec 2020 (18 months), I started having problems getting it to &qu...

Re: Pump not working
For others that might experience this issue, this is the reply I got from Boston Scientific. Always start the process by first pushing in on the deflate button – this will reset the poppet valve; after you have pushed in the button, then try to activate by giving the pump a good hard fast vigorous s...

Re: Pump not working
I have kept from trying to hold the release valve and pumping. I know it will not inflate if you do this.
I remember reading somewhere to avoid that, don't know the exact reason why.
Will attempt to contact Boston Scientific.

Pump not working
I have had my AMS implant for two years. It got easier and softer to pump as time went by. Now I can't get an erection. The "bulb" feels hard and doesn't "pop" open. I can hear the noise that it would make when deflating. My opinion is that somehow the release valve is stuck open...
