Re: My situation - some advice and input needed - Hard flaccid for 5+ years
The decision to go bionic must not be taken lightly. At your age, there will be a number of revisions and the risk of infection apparently increases with the number of revisions. Then there is the cost (20K or more) and the pain involved with each surgery. I know you yearn for the glory days (as do ...

Re: any implantees who have a small scrotum?
I'm pretty sure it's the OTR. I just made an appointment to meet with my surgeon in person on April 1st so he can have a good look and will know more then. My previous meeting with him was a televideo.
Thanks.
Thanks.

any implantees who have a small scrotum?
I'm scheduled to have a Titan implanted in mid-May but worried that the pump will be a problem because I have a small scrotum. Has anyone else who has a small scrotum been implanted, especially with a Titan? Any long-term pain or discomfort due to the proximity to the testicles?
TIA.
TIA.

Best of luck to you. I too will be having my surgery with Dr. Clavell at 7:30 AM in mid-May and I am also traveling solo, but much closer. Same hotel. I'm very interested in your experience.

Re: Pump (VED) Exercise
How long do you wait before pumping back up? Do you just let the vacuum drop to zero then pump immediately, or do you wait for a few seconds? You have revived a 12 year old thread! To answer your question, when exercising I don't break the pump's seal when deflating so there is always some vacuum p...

Re: Medicare Billing
Just be sure to understand the difference between a Medicare Advantage plan (Part C) and a Medicare Supplement plan. An Advantage plan replaces Part B and may have exclusions while a Supplement plan will supplement Part B, so if Medicare covers the procedure then the supplement plan will take care o...

Re: Insurance declined IPP
Last year I paid $100 for a video consultation with my future Houston surgeon and he immediately told me that BCBS would not pay for it. He quoted $20K which is about what another surgeon in the Austin area charges. Next year I'll be covered by Medicare and the same United Healthcare Supplemental in...

Re: 32 year old implanted by Dr Clavell
Congratulations and thanks for the feedback on Dr. Clavell. Once Medicare kicks in and I get the travel logistics ironed out I'll go see him too.
