Re: How do you plan on using your implant this weekend?
I plan to cycle twice on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday night, I will spend about 35-40 minutes with my wife, inserting my implant. We'll do it again on Sunday morning.

Congrats WH, I am also a Clavellian! I am 4 1/2 months out and things are going amazing. Better than I ever imagined and like a lot of other bionic brothers, I wish I would have done it earlier. Take your time, listen to your body and before you know it you will be cycling and using your new device.

Re: Cycling day has arrived - finally!
Hey ThailandBound, Congrats on starting your cycling adventure! It sounds like it's going to be a great journey. I'm a few weeks ahead of you, so I can relate to the feelings of getting used to cycling. Everyone's experience is different, of course, but I usually found it took a couple of weeks befo...

Re: Official Member of the Bionic Brotherhood as of Today
Currently 5 hours post op and I’m at home healing. Installed with an AMS 700 CX model. Level of discomfort isn’t too bad as long as I’m laying down. The worst part of the entire consisted of the anticipation leading up to the surgery as others have shared. Overall I’m glad to be on the road to reco...

Re: The Countdown Begins….48 Hours and Counting
The time is quickly approaching for me to join the bionic brotherhood. I’ll admit that I have pre-surgery nerves but that’s to be expected. On the other hand I’m very excited and ready to start this new chapter. Scheduled for surgery Friday morning. I check in at the hospital at 5:30 am as I am sch...

Re: Surgery in 3 days
I had my surgery on 12/14 with Dr. Clavell in Houston. I have 2 kids, younger 13 and 9. I just told them I had a procedure and that I have to take it easy for several weeks. They have been find with it and can't wait until the end of Jan.
