Re: 79 year old's 2 Year Anniversary

Well said friend and congrats on finding (and keeping!) a great lifetime partner.

Year three will be just as blessed, I promise.

Re: LGX 700 Life Expectancy? 1,872 cycles on mine.

Wow - congrats, nine years is a great run! My doc said I should be good for 10 years, I seem to remember other members here saying their doc's suggested 10 years is about the lifetime of the LGX as well. I wouldn't change a thing if I were you. You're obviously not abusing the unit if you got nine y...

Re: Mysterious Re-inflation of AMS LGX 700

" I told him I heard that you should give it one pump after deflation . He said that would contribute more to it....that opens the valve and if he pressed on the reservoir, more fluid would go back in." In my experience, you are correct. After ensuring I am completely deflated, I always gi...

Re: New, Interested in AMS 700

Good day RG. I am just a dude on the internet, not a doctor or reliable source. If you go to a high-volume surgeon, she/he will size you correctly. I too got all twisted by numbers and assumptive sizing before my implant. But only your doc will know how deep your crus is - that crus depth plus your ...

Re: Have I ruined hope of any gains

Just an internet dude here - I feel it's not too late, but it is time to make it a priority. I would also get aggressive with the Pierto (spelling?) exercise.

I also experienced gains after a year, but I was cycling with purpose and consistent at it.

Good luck!

Re: Trimming a Coloplast cylinder

I am interested in this answer.

I assume the trim comes in on the backside of the cylinder, like the opposing function of a RTE?

I agree with everyone - you are trending in the wrong direction and taking an appropriate step to mitigate further damage.

Trust the process, follow instructions, enjoy for a long time. Good luck brother!

Re: What to do and who to chose?

To hell with money/out-of-pocket costs, insurance, and/or time - you want the BEST surgeon of the two. That's where you focus, let the rest play out.

That's what I think anyway. I am unfamiliar with the surgeons mentioned so I can't help you there. At least a solution is on your horizon either way.

Re: How much pain should there be when cycling?

Normal brother. When I was where you are right now, a couple of guys suggested cycling in a hot tub/hot bath. This worked great for me. Cycling was still uncomfortable for a bit, but the heat helped immensely. I was able to go longer and get more pumps in during the looong acclamation stage I went t...

Re: Tubing placement

yes, the bottom of the shaft on the right-hand side. I don't think it's an inch up the ladder but it could be I suppose.

Meh, I would rather it not be there but small beans compared to the net value.
