Two month post-op update. Sex has been achieved!
After 20 years+ of dealing with erectile dysfunction, I had my inflatable implant surgery on March 28, and was just cleared for sex last Thursday. My wife and I have had sex at least twice a day since then, and while I'm still learning how to best manipulate the pump, I've been able to orgasm each t...

22 days post-implant. Just got deflated
Feels so much better and less awkward. Surgeon showed me how to inflate and deflate, and wants me to pump it up/down a few times a day as part of my cycling. Seeing him again in exactly one month to get checked again, and then I should be cleared for sex with my lovely, excited partner. Anything els...

Re: I’m a bit concerned about my recovery
You had your surgery on April 5, and are already cycling??? Wowzers.
I had my implant put in on March 28, and am only just now going in for my initial deflation this afternoon.

Re: Recovery Question
I sit at a desk at home in front of a computer all day for work, and still took two weeks off to recover from my implant surgery.
When I had my Nissen fundoplication for acid reflux, I had to take three weeks off. And that recovery was WAY WORSE than my implant recovery.

Day 11 of recovery: Pain and discomfort. Day 12: Feel great
Had my implant on March 28, and have been chilling on the couch ever since while taking all my pills and going for tiny walks to encourage healing. It's definitely uncomfortable, especially this past Thursday, when my testicles were just so uncomfortable and painful. But then I woke up yesterday, an...

Thanks to everyone here for such great information and resources. Still pretty sore and exhausted, but the meds are dealing with most of the pain, and in really glad I got the catheter out this morning. And now begins my two weeks off of work to heal. How long can I expect it to hurt while urinating...

Meeting w/ surgeon tomorrow to discuss getting implant. Help!
46 M and I've had ED issues since I was a teenager, but they've gotten especially worse over the past 10 years. I'm often unable to get erect at all, both during sex with my wife and masturbation, and when I do, it's very short-lived. I've tried diet/lifestyle modifications/weight loss, medication, ...

46M, tried everything, nothing works, meeting w/ surgeon tomorrow
Had pretty consistent problems getting/sustaining erections since I was in my mid-20s, and after trying diet/lifestyle modifications/weight loss, medication, and even injections (I cannot handle the needles), I'm talking to a urology surgeon about getting an inflatable implant tomorrow. I'm in the P...
