Re: Implanted 2/14/24 - First Five Days
I was implanted by Mr Ralph. Not a great bedside manner but surgery was fantastic. No issues, minimal pain and little swelling.

Re: got my titan today
I was pen scrotal as well and stayed overnight. I had the implant at 8 am and the drain was removed at lunchtime the following day. It was later than they wanted. The catheter came out that morning and I could pee straightaway. My blood pressure was low and the nurse advised me not to take my preven...

One month in
Hi all Can't believe it's a month since my implant (peno scrotal) and I'm so pleased to say it's been pretty much problem free. At the weekend I even had a dog jump into my meat and two veg when out on a walk, and there was only " normal" pain! I was deflated at 7 days by Professor Ralph a...

Re: One of many Implant Journeys: Countdown to going Bionic
I was implanted by Dr Ralph this month. He was recommended along with a couple of other doctors by my NHS Urologist. He said the implant on the NHS would take a while and would need a special approval. I didn't want to wait. My workplace insurance with AXA excludes Sexual conditions, so I paid for t...

Re: bandage after implant, peeing after implant
I had my implant 7 Feb and the scrotal incision is glued. I think this helps minimise the risk of infection and the surgeon just told me I was free to have a shower the following day. I don't think they understand that you need a bit more advice than that, after all your crown jewels have just taken...
Re: Nervous
Hi Cajun Jeff et al Implant has been put in today and I'm staying overnight until the catheter is removed tomorrow. I had initial pain killing meds (Morphine I think) bu was still getting pain in the glands. This has now passed and I am only mildly uncomfortable in the perineum area. Otherwise it al...

Re: What have people told their families?
Thanks everyone! I'm amazed that some procedures are as an outpatient. I'm in for an overnight stay, hence the need to field lots of questions.

What have people told their families?
Hi As per my earlier post, I'm due for an implant on 7 Feb. We've made arrangements but are being asked by the family why I'm going to hospital, what's wrong, am I Ok? etc etc I'm reaching out to find out what people have said to others and if being open about the implant, what their reaction was? T...

Hi Alex 258 - what is Tri gel?
Re: Nervous
Thanks everyone for the replies. I think he is using the penoscrotal approach as he has talked about an incision in that area. I have tried injections but alas they only got me 80% there. I had no qualms about injecting myself there. But I'm sure that I have developed slight scaring and a curvature ...
