Re: Implant surgery without prior VED use
If I were you, I'd use it daily until the day before surgery, and ask your doctor for advise on use afterwards. I’m not a doctor, but this advice from BigDave seems right to me. If it were my decision, I wouldn’t cancel the surgery. My doctor told me that use of a VED might help “a little” but he d...

Re: Where is the Pump Supposed to Sit Exactly?
My pump sits nice and low at the bottom of my scrotum below and between my testicles. The pump is below the deflate block. Perfect. My doctor told me to gently pull down on the pump from day one. Glad I did. I had the infrapubic surgery I too had infrapubic surgery and my pump sits kind of weird. B...

Re: Hematoma Recovery Question
Just some more encouragement. I also had a hematoma and was concerned about how long it took to go away. Using a heating pad helped me immensely. As another poster said, one day I woke up and the hematoma was pretty much gone. I was able to start cycling three weeks post op despite the hematoma, but...

Re: Implants and running
Like you, I was concerned that strenuous exercise might damage my implant. I asked my doctor whether my running, stair climbing at the gym, weightlifting, bicycling would be a problem, and he said no. Ten months after my surgery I’m doing everything I always did. No restrictions.

Re: How old were you when you got your implant?
I was 60 when I got my implant. The pain was very manageable. It was just uncomfortable, as others have said. I was expecting much worse. Started cycling and having sex at 21 days. There was only mild discomfort at first. Now, at ten months, I have no discomfort at all. As a previous poster said, it...

Re: my doctor said cycling doesn't work
Complete horse shit. End of story. They might be correct in saying the implant will never increase beyond your once natural size, but even that is incorrect. Agreed. My doctor told me to cycle twice a day for at least 30 minutes. He said I could see gains up to a year after surgery. I’m nine months...

Re: How bad was your erectile dysfunction when implanted?

Bad enough that the hurt of losing what little function I had (if the surgery failed) would hurt less than keeping what little function I had for the rest of my life. My situation exactly. Could get an erection but couldn’t keep it. Meds no longer worked. Doctor suggested an implant ...

Re: Can anyone recommend a good urologist for ED near Cleveland Ohio?
I would recommend the Center for Men’s Health at the Cleveland Clinic. I see Dr. Petar Bajic there. He did my implant surgery and I couldn’t have had a better experience. He also manages my active surveillance for prostate cancer. Everyone at the Center has been awesome with me.

Re: Resuming gym workouts
Hey Bulldog, wishing you the best on your surgery next week. I had the same exercise questions. Every doctor is different, but I was told not to lift anything weighing more than 20 lbs or exercise at all until my followup visit. That visit happened exactly three weeks after my surgery. I was cleared...
