Re: Lifespan of IPP
Daytripper: What's the actual deal with revisions? Is it a more difficult procedure than the initial implant? For me the revision was an easier surgery to recovery from compared to the original. There's still some challenges for example the revision placed the reservoir higher on my abdomen below t...

Re: Lifespan of IPP
10 years Titan, then revision. Also keep in mind most satisfied implanted men are not posting on this forum because they have no reason to seek advice so the feedback you receive will be a small sample size. For me personally I didnt post for years and years on this forum for that very reason. Now I...

Re: Implanted Jan 17, 2024... WOW, the pain
Midwest guy, pardon the question but did you follow Dr. Clavells pain management protocols? I know he loaded me up with multiple pain killers depending on the severity of the pain and gave very specific instructions. The most common mistake made is waiting until you are in pain to start taking the p...

Re: Bulge (tubing) at base of penis?
Sammy you're less than 30 days from your procedure things are still swollen and healing it will take some time to settle. Its understandable why you would be concerned but its just too early to evaluate a final outcome. Dr. Clavell may have not immediately responded because he deemed it a non emerge...

Re: Malleable mistake 35 yrs ago
Before my aquablation surgery I was having to cathetor 5 to 6 times per day with an implant in place. I did not experience any difficulty using a cathetor due to the implant. I too recommend getting second opinion from a different urologist before removing your maleable. Best of luck to you.

Re: How many revisions have you had ?
thedriver, my goodness sorry to hear you're having a tough go on your revisions. I've had one revision to answer your original question, I had it done after my first implant failed after 10yrs of service. Regarding your situation statistically speaking you're on 5 implants in 19months and its highly...

Re: Question on number of revisions
Well Im of a different mind, revisions are a given but other factors are not fixed and are variable. Some of these variables are service life of implant, infection rates, loss of length with each revision, cost etc. One should not rely only on opinions found on franktalk, instead search web for medi...

Re: Left Cylinder fell out into scrotum 2 months after revision
I would suggest seeking out a second opinion from a high volume surgeon, the quickest and easiest way is using telemedicine appointment this way you can consult with the doctor by appointment from the comfort of your home. Maybe even two other opinions. GL.

Re: Dog ears while fully inflated
Dog ears when fully inflated in NOT normal and an indication that you have some sort of issue obviously. I would suggest seeing your urologist asap and refrain from having sex with your partner to prevent the possibility of further injury to her. Dont wait for a Franktalk consensus take action on th...
