Re: Size of replacement IPP

This absolutely does occur. And there is research on it. "Inflatable penile prosthesis as tissue expander: what is the evidence?" https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5678524/ Get a good surgeon and they will provide the 'right' size for your initial surgery. Do the cycling well to...

Re: Sizing techniques

+1 to Jage64 recommendation to watch a video of an actual implant surgery. Maybe we should create a post with some of these videos - if you are considering an implant the video is informative. rewansilva25 It is worth learning how a surgeon will properly measure for an implant - but really you are n...

Re: References - Seattle Surgeons

Colorblind: As I understand, Dr. Walsh is the most experienced implant surgeon in the Seattle area. And it is great that he is training other surgeons. You should be in good hands working with Dr Walsh. Regarding injections. Give them an honest try. They can work very well. And once you get used to ...

References - Seattle Surgeons

Has anyone had experience with surgeons in Washington State? My current urologist is Dr Ostrowski at Evergreen - who is reportedly both experienced in Peyronies and is a high-volume implant surgeon. So far, he seems like an excellent urologist and surgeon. I am currently doing 10 weeks of traction, ...

Re: Seattle area doctor or travel?

Colorblind Hope this process is working out for you. I am also in a similar situation. Evaluating an implant in the Seattle area. Were you able to get connected with a surgeon who you trust? I think is it also important to start any pre-treatment as soon as possible. I have gone to seen Dr Ostrowski...

Re: Implant - Sooner vs later

I think my fears had been mostly the typical - size, sensitivity, "you're going to cut me where?" But I'm over these. Still concerned about the surgery in general - but this is resolved by finding a great surgeon - and I think my urologist is one. My previous urologist mentioned an implant...

Re: Greetings

One thing that I am learning is that the understanding and treatment options for Peyronie's are limited. The medical community identifies some promising treatment, some modest treatments and some good treatment. As I mentioned above, the good treatments seem to be Xiaflex, traction, Pentox and the i...

Re: Implant - Sooner vs later

Thanks all for your replies - it was not unexpected. I think first, I need to overcome my irrational concerns around the implant. This is probably the main reason many men are here asking questions on this board. Frankly, I hope these are mostly resolved for me now. My other issue is that I had dece...

Implant - Sooner vs later

(I can almost guess the answer to my question from reading thru this board - but I think it is worth the discussion) I've received this general advice from two well respected urologist in my area. Both have suggested that once I see that I'll need an implant, I should just do it before I get much sc...

Greetings

I’ve been a long-time lurker and recently signed up to start asking questions and hopefully start engaging. 61 years old and I’ve been dealing with moderate ED for about ten years. Thyroid, testosterone and some experimental treatments all kept me in the game – with some occasional Trimix. Last mont...
