Re: Private Insurance in California that covers IPP
Hi Goose, I had my implant removal and replacement surgery with Dr. Patel and recommend him very very highly. Very knowledgable, detail oriented, and does what he can to optimize YOUR outcome! I think there are a few people on FT that have had surgery or considering surgery with him, haven't seen a...

Private Insurance in California that covers IPP
To be specific, Im in San Diego. I have surgery scheduled in summer, but Im about to switch insurance once Im off my moms plan because I hit 26. Employers insurance sucks and doesnt cover implants. Im deciding to go down the expensive private insurance route and funding it by selling off the little ...

Re: pre-op to reduce any size loss?
Is there anything I should do to maximize my post op size and prevent size loss? Im 25 and after a nightmarish two years with venous leak, hopefully this is coming to an end soon. Ive decided to get an implant. I heard VEDs maybe? Does brand of implant matter for keeping size? Thank you First thing...

Is my urologist spewing bs about implants?
Im quite young at 25. I was forced to see a different uro because my insurance changed. I was scheduled to get a doppler redone, but now this new uro is telling dopplers are outdated and that getting one wont change anything. Also she says no one will put an implant in at my age, that it’s gruesome,...

Re: Post-op girth concerns
I would like to add, if you have chosen a good surgeon they should have given you a phone number to text them on to ask questions about your specific surgery. Dr Hakky did that for me, so did Dr Clavell before I had to change doctors. If they arent open to answering what is likely one of the top th...

Post-op girth concerns
Hi, Ill probably choose to get an implant soon as a 25 yr old. I dont have a totally dead erection but it’s subpar and getting worse. My erection isnt girthy to begin with. I’m 4.5” midshaft and 4.25” base. Will they be sizing me for midshaft size or will I be limited by the smaller base size? Also,...

Re: I think I am screwed for a good surgeon in San Diego
I would not go with anyone at Sharp - they don't have any high volume implanters!! At your age, you really need someone with a lot of implant experience to get you the best result, don't gamble. This is exactly what I feared. No high volume implanters. I might have to take out a loan unfortunately....

Re: I think I am screwed for a good surgeon in San Diego
Insurance companies aren’t always evil. Neither are doctors. Talk to doctor’s financial people first. Level with them. Tell them you’d like to use them, you’ve got an insurance network issue. How much would they bill the insurance carrier to do you. Then talk to the insurance carrier. Try asking th...
