Re: Coloplast Genesis malleable implanted

Congrats LastHope! I’m excited for you man. I’m planning on going the MPP route as well. I’ll be paying out of pocket as well, so it made sense - but even if I had this covered by insurance, I’m very hesitant to go IPP on account of the fear of more revisions / device reliability over time.

Re: Malleable journal - nervous but hopeful

Hey Duke - long time Franktalk reader here and just created my account this past week to start posting. I’m a younger guy like you, 31 years old and been dealing with ED for a very long time (I’ve always suspected a venous leak. Pills almost always a miss, definitely not psychological after working...

Re: What was everyone’s stretched penile length?

IndianRasputin I know you got a malleable - do you know if it matters if you’re a grower and not a shower? For me, I’m quite small when flaccid (depending on temperature, etc, only like 2-3 inches!) but stretched or semi-erect, I’m closer to about 5.4 inches. My understanding is that the surgeon wo...

Re: IPP to Malleable Revision

Hey Easy Money, I misspoke. I have a Rigicon 20 cm implanted (with .5 RTE) on left side. The Coloplast I had was a 22 cm. I guess going from the IPP to the malleable, they are more conservative to limit the risk of erosion. It’s frustrating because the IPP was very close to my original length. Now ...

Re: Inflatable vs Malleable - My Experience with Both & Infection

I have the unique experience of being implanted first with an inflatable (Titan) and then later a malleable (Genesis). I’ll break this post into parts, which includes: - Getting the inflatable implant - Surviving an infection - The process of recovering from an unsalvageable infection and how to pr...

Re: Dr. Hakky on malleables

Glad Hakky made this - and really interesting to see his transparency regarding sizing. I’m very interested in getting a malleable and there’s some mixed literature on sizing impacts - so to hear from him that he typically will undersize them 1-2 cms to help mitigate erosion risks is great info. Hon...

Re: What was everyone’s stretched penile length?

20 cm SPL for me Indianrasputin it would be good to write "for completeness" what it was before the stretched malleable, and after, it would be an excellent thread for those who think of putting a malleable Length and Girth Pre Malleable 7.9 inches length, 7 inch girth Post malleable 7.4 ...

Re: Dr Hakky

Just a side note. I got the estimate from the hospital at $32,000 - BUT they have a 75% discount if you pay in full upfront (around $8005) and a 65% discount if you pay either half upfront and then 4 payments autodrafted or 33% upfront and 4 autodrafted payments. Plus anthesia estimate is about $10...
