Depression after implant - young man

Postby Stewy78 » Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:03 am

Hi,
I decided to get an implant when pills started to not work anymore. I'm seriously regretting my decision and I'm now very depressed.

I'm 31 years old and I had venous leak for more than 10 years and I managed it pretty well with pills. I had a big dick and almost all my partners were very happy of my performances.

In november I met a new girl (that is currently my girlfriend) and when I tried first intercourse with her I failed when I had to put the condom. I took additional pills but none worked. After that I failed multiple times, I tried to have sex with other girls but the effect of the pills were not enough. Anyway somehow I managed to have intercouse with lots of efforts and constant stimolation to keep the erection and my girlfriend was really happy and had fully orgasm but for me it was a nightmare beacuse I had to take about 60 mg of Levitra + Cialis 10mg to manage to have some kind of erection and it was an hit or miss.

So I decided for an implant and I did the surgery about 45 days ago. It's terrible now. I lost lots of girth, my glans is not engorged anymore even with pills (before the implant I had a good glans stability and engorgment), the dick is very very flat.
I decided to not tell anything to my girlfriend (she's 25 years old), I told her that I had a surgery about pudendal nerve. She doesn't noticed the implant yet. We tried to have sex multiple times after the surgery but she's unable to feel pleasure anymore. She's very sad beacuse she doesn't understand why and because I'm usually depressed about this situation. I started cycling the implant at day 14 after surgery, now I'm on day 45 and I see no improvements in glans engorgment and girth. Girth is even super thin near the top. Soft glans and hypermobile glans also makes penetration very difficult.

This situation is going to make me totally crazy. I sometime think about suicide and I don't know why I made such a bad and impulsive decision.

I don't know about Italian girls, or your particular one, but I have found that women are incredibly supportive if they feel trusted, respected and safe.

I went on a dating site and was honest about my inability to have sex and that I was intending to have an implant to fix that problem. My honesty and candor was commented on several times as "brave" and "refreshing".

Don't waste a day of a potential relationship just because sex may a little difficult for a while. Try new positions that take advantage of your (now reliable) rigidity instead of just mere size.

Trust her. Let her know by your words and actions that you want to please her and that trust her with your innermost secrets. Also, that when you are fully healed, you will be able to keep your erection (of whatever size it ultimately is) for an extended period of time and that she can do whatever athletic stunts you two can think of on your new gymnastic "apparatus".

Life is too short to miss the joys of sex and too long to endure its absence.

Why couldn't he be?
40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

I don't think any man on this site went into this impulsively. Im sure you thought long and hard about it, as we all did. you are still very early in the process. It's critical, I think , that you tell your girlfriend exactly what is happening. Keeping such a secret is probably contributing to your depression.

Hopefully, she will be understanding and will be willing to work with you on a solution.

What does your surgeon think of your result/progress? Do you need a second opinion?

I also had a reduction in length/girth and lack of engorgement in the glans and I wasn't super hung to begin with. This is a blow to self-image and masculinity, no question.

I tried using a stretchy cock ring around my cock and balls, and that seems to help a bit with both engorgement and girth. Might be worth a try. for some reason, I get better results standing or sitting than lying down. Im assuming it's gravity.

Im going to ask my surgeon about intraurethral trimix to help with engorgement. Ive seen some information on the internet about this.

Im at month 4 and still struggling but hopeful. Don't give up. I truly believe it takes a year to be fully recovered from this very traumatic procedure.

Wishing you the best,

Ken

Hi Ken,
My surgeon is not very helpful unfortunately. He told me to wait more time and if the issue persists try Vitaros.
Since you have the implant from 4 months, do you notice improvmements in girth and glans engorgment with time? Before the implant you had a better glans engorgment?

Yes, I have seen some improvement after 4 months. I have to be sexually stimulated to get any glans engorgement. I used trimix injection before my implant surgery and did get very good engorgement with that; however, I was unable to orgasm and my penis ached for a whole day afterward. recently, I did try a small dose of trimix (0.1ml) into my urethra and had no effect. I might try a higher dose next time. I masturbate successfully at about 70 percent inflation. At 100 percent, I still feel very artificial and unnatural. I am hopeful that this will get better.
