Is it too late?

I had my surgery last september so it will be a year next month. When I had my cath removed a week after surgery the nurse told my wife and me that she knew a patient that had an erection soon after. So being a competitive person I/we got busy and about a month later I was about 60% hard but not close for intercouse.Well then Heaven bitch slapped us again and my wife was dx with breast cancer, stage 1. So my issue was put on hold and my wife was my first and main concern. She had surgery and completed radiation.
Here is the problem and worry now.Did I miss my chance on a quick recovery of ED ?

I'm not a doctor and I don't play one on TV. But my opinion is "No, you didn't miss your chance." Start today. Read up on all the various methods, pick one that cranks your tractor and get busy. My only suggestion is that you move from less invasive to more invasive: pump, pill, (or pill, pump), then injections, and finally implant.

Absolutely not!!!!!!!!! Taking care of yourself and the bride is first order of business. Now that things are under control, I agree with Jeff (he is a wise man) get started and likewise I suggest you begin to pump as a way to bring blood back into the shaft and begin to work things. If you don't have a pump "Thinktank" posted a response on the "Pumping Forum" under a thread entitled "Big Badass bulging vein" that has a link to a source for, what appears to be, very high quality pumps. I need a new pump to compliment my Osbon "medical pump" and will probably seriously consider ordering from them. If you visit the website you will note they construct the pump to fit your size and that is a nice feature, If you have any ?'s I suggest you send "Thinktank" a PM (private message) and consult with him.
But, there is no quick recovery that I am aware of and it is a journey. I would also talk with the doc about pills, if you can take them and combined with lost of "activity" two assistance's may be helpful. Things are still good even if he isn't hard; so go for it and often. With the bride recovering you need to solo a lot but, hey, most of us do that.
Good luck and please ask questions. There is a lot of experience here and we all face the same demon. The chat room can be a great place.
If I can help, let me know. It is good to have you as a member of this clan.
Regards,
Dick

Thanks for the replies guys.I posted here because I'm thinking my ED issue might have alot to do with the psychological hit I took from my wife being dx with breast cancer. After my surgery I was on a mission to get the little guy back on his feet and was taking cialis daily dose and self-stimualating couple of times a week.As futher my wife went into surgery and radiation treaments I backed off on my rehab and lost the desire to get the ED resolved. Now I'm hoping I can get back on track. I have discuss with my wife about trying Trimix when I go for my one year PSA test. When do you know when its a mental issue verses a physical issue?

My urologist told me that, barring severe venous leakage, a trimix injection of sufficient dosage would cause me to have an erection whether I wanted one or not. It's simple biochemistry. My compound pharmacist told me not to stand near and facing a brick wall after I gave myself a shot because it might when Little G tried to poke a hole thru said brick wall.
Personally, I think most of us, myself included, have been in a bad place mentally and emotionally as a result of the frustration associated with our limp dicks. Perhaps the best thing about trimix injections for me was the knowledge, confidence, and assurance that I could, indeed, get hard once again. Glory, glory hallelujah!
I'm not saying that mental attitude doesn't count; it certainly makes a difference in EVERYTHING related to your physical health. But oftentimes chemistry can help to boost your outlook.
Results may vary, of course, but that's how it has been with me. I think others would probably agree.
Best wishes for hard times, my friend.

Greg, I am looking forward to Trimix making me a stiff one. I'm just thinking out loud wondering if my wife didn't have her cancer and we kept up with our sexual rehab.would I be having an erection good enough for intercourse at this time? When we were first dating my wife would count how many times I would have a hard on through out the day...good times!

I want to be very careful with a response. I in no way want to offend. Simply put- DON'T LOOK BACK.
Generally, it takes about a year plus, as I understand, to get penile function back into a more normal state after PCa surgery. Your cancer has caused your ED not your wife's cancer. Granted the stress of her issues didn't help and put your recovery; the two together well. . . . . But, if things had been semi perfect you probably would still be working towards a better new normal and working on a better hard.
You are where you are and that is not a bad place. You are moving towards a better time and the PSA's, I trust, are at zero. Your bride has finished her surgery and rad and recovery continues. You both have any number of check dates as they run tests and all to see how the recovery continues and to see if any of those little sh ts remain.
I suggest you discard the past and focus on the the coming months. Rehab begins now with a new focus and goals. That is good. Your ability to regain penile function depends on an amazing number of factors. One of those is your mental state. ED creates in most of us a very dark place and we need to fight to find the light of day and new joy. If I may, forget the "what-ifs" and maximize your chances for success. This requires a positive place between your ears to help the place between your legs relax and remember the fun to be had. Take care of your body, eat right, exercise and do as many positive thing during your week as possible. It makes a difference. When I arrived at Franktalk I was not in a good place. The men of this clan are amazing!! They care, encourage, share experiences and knowledge and have a wonderful, if somewhat bawdy, sense of humor. One can say almost anything and not be judged as working thru is a step in the right direction. These guys have helped me beyond measure and I am better, in many ways, for being here.
You took a huge step forward when you joined FrankTalk. I suggest- look forward, go forward and get hard and use him regardless as much as possible. Penile Rehab is fun!!!!!!!
Just a thought.

Dick

I know I'm suppose to self-stimulate so I try going on the porn sites to help but instead it's hard(no pun intended) to watch couples engaging in sex.Anyone else have the same issue?

Try watching videos with girl on girl action only. I used to like watching the big dicks cream the the girls but since I can't shoot anymore that doesn't seem as entertaining to me.
