IF ... I understand pw1956 correctly he is seeking a temporary intermediary device solution between radiation and lupron treatmeants and his doctor "approving" a possible implant for ED.
I dont believe he is personally seeking to delay an implant himself.
Anyway, I have little personal experience with strap-on's myself as in personal usage, however; I have considerable knowledge from being associated with the organized Fetish community and the adult sex toy [not necessarily medical device] industry.
First, hollow dildos are probably most commonly found as penis extensions. The penis is inserted into the hoolw base of the shaft.
Second, they are often utilized by female Dominatrix's to deny the male submissive any sexual pleasure from having intercourse with her for her pleasure alone.
Then, they get used as a medical substituite for those with ED problems as well. There was one company that specialized more in this realm, but I dont remember the name.
"Vac-U-Loc" is a "Doc' Johnson (sex toys) company trade name for a universal attachment system for fastening an appropriated dildo to the harness; so different sizes and shapes of dildos may be utilized with a single harness. These require the dildo to have an appropriate sized bore in the base that mates with a proper sized jagged probe, after which "vacuum" locates the two units together and retains them so that they do not pull apart on the back thrust. A "Vac-U-loc" dildo will not accommodate a penis being inserted into it for location and retaining the dildo as the small hole in the base is utilized upon the barbed prong. It cannot do both.
As far as harness's, you are probably going to want as much secure holding power for the dildo to your body as you can find. The flimsey little rope g-string model look stimulating in photos of hot young Dommes Pegging some sub in the ass in porno, however; practically speaking you need more. Your goal is utility.
They do offer the "Vac-U-loc" adapter that fastens to, "whatever" through 4 bolt holes on a rectangular base.
You might possibly be interested in a product called the "Monkey Rocker" or sex glider.

I’m exploring a hollow penis dildo and wondering if anyone has tried this and what’s the best strap on harness to buy. There are g-string, double strap, o ring, vacu loc, etc. There is a wide cost variation.
Any suggestions would help.

I've been there several times before and know that they carry a fairly large and diverse selection although they are expensive. Anything they sell can generally be found MUCH cheaper on Amazon although I have gotten some good deals there.
Anyhow, recalling the original post (now edited to near deletion), I checked out the original topic. Yes, there are several harness setups with hollow dildos made for use with the dick inserted. IMHO, most seemed cheaply made and due to their construction I failed to see where the wearer would receive any stimulation or gratification from use. Of course if the sole purpose is the satisfaction of your partner I expect the user would receive gratification from that. One of the cheaper looking IMHO, brands did offer a model that had a vibrator with a wired controller. That could provide stimulation for both the wearer and his partner if it's effective but I have no idea how effective it is.
The model that had the appearance of higher quality but no vibrator function was:

There are a bunch more options on-line. !
Before injections I did use a Doc Johnson strap on with the vaculock system. A hollow dildo wasn't an option with that system and without injections my dick is totally flacid so there really wouldn't be much difference whether hollow or not but it did give me the ability to give the wife a workout and that helped me out a bit emotionally and hopefully made the wife happy. It allowed more staying power than what a VED is good for due to it's time restrictions.
bldoink wrote:The ones I saw were fairly thick walled, were not designed to be used like a condom (came with and required a harness) and did not appear to be designed for the S & M community. They were advertised as suitable for woman on woman, woman on man (pegging) and as an ED aid, befitting to original topic of this thread. What the S & M community does with them is a separate matter and not germane to the original question posted by the OP.
drumber,
The store did have a fairly large section that catered to your proclivities.
