Dear kap

In the UK no surgeon would recommend radical prostatectomy for a man of your age - their cancer grow very slowly and all they would suggest is the monitor your situation.

It is not clear from your post if you use Viagra, Cialis or Lavitra to help with your sexual performance . For most people this is the first line of action to take. Implant is a splendid solution but it should be seen as a last resort . The most important recommendation is to make sure that you make sure that you engage as much in sexual activity as you can, make sure you penis is worked on and gives you joy ( and indeed to your partners too) as often you can. If you don't use it - you will loose it .

Don't be tempted to have the surgery unless situation accelerates drastically which is unlikely to happen. Even then there are las drastic measures which can be taken.

I speak from experience - I did have surgery but I had Gleeson scale 7, I am somewhat younger then you (63) and cancer was at that stage contained within the prostate , but only just - there was a real possibility of spread quite soon. As the result a surgery 7 months ago I now have serious ED and it is uncertain if I will ever regain the erection again. This place is full of men who have been let in this sad state.

Welcome, do reed the contributions of members with some care and learn from us all - this is quite an exceptional place .

Best wishes M ( sladecek ) from London (UK)
