Hello, All,

Just recently learned I have prostate cancer and have decided to have SBRT. I'll have some questions following the treatment and look forward to meeting and talking with some of you.

Best to all.

New@this: first this is a great name! Sorry to hear about the DX. and welcome to FT. Join us some time in the chat room.

I will also recommend that you check out healingwell.com and go to the prostate cancer section.. It is a forum as well that deals specificly with prostate cancer. Lots of guys can answer question about RT.

Again welcome to FT.

Welcome New@this,

I am also a Prostate Cancer Survivor and heve been attending monthly meetings of the UsToo Prostate Cancer Support
Group at Hackensack University Medical Center in NJ since my Open Radical Prostatectomy in February 2004.
This Group also has many men who have chosen RT as the Treatment Modality for their PCa.
You may go to www.ustoo.org to find a Chapter near you. I highly recommend this Group to all my fellow
Prostate Cancer Survivors.
Also, as Jeff pointed out, there are many men in our FT Group who have undergone RT for their PCa and would gladly
share their experiences with you. Never hesitate to ask questions. You are among friends here.
The Chat Room is an excellent forum for everyone to share experiences.
Again, welcome to the FT Group and best of luck with your Treatment.

Bob

Thanks for your responses and encouragement! I completed the SBRT and PSA is rapidly declining, so things are going well. Thank you, again!

Please add this site to your resources http://www.yananow.org/ If you go through all of the pages you will find a large member data base of personal experiences and multiple treatment methods. The site is searchable and rather well done. The owner Terry is a great guy and very helpful. Give it a go guys.

Kind Regards, Jim
