Hello Guys. Call me Redrockx (since my wife does)!
I am honored to be among such a bunch of survivors, men who refuse to quit. If that's not bravery, I don't know what is.
I started dealing with ED in my late 40's (I'm 55 now), because of the onset of diabetes and lots of stress in my life from family trauma. I am happily married to a great woman for almost 24 years now, and she has been my secret weapon in the fight to be the stud I used to be.
I look forward to sharing my experiences with you guys, and to hearing yours.
I have fought back ED both with medicine, and with creative sex (fully supported by my wife). At first, I tried Viagra, Levitra and Cialis, and none of them did much. Then, about one year ago, I started with TriMix injections, and they have helped a lot.
My wife is in charge of keeping our sex lives fresh, adventurous, and never boring. She and I strongly believe that most of the battle against ED is in my mind, and that once I refuse to lose this fight, that anything is possible. We use sex toys, erotic massage, porn to keep things new, and even other, more exotic things.
I'm very happy to say hello here. I know we will all help each other in lots of ways.

Re: Hello!
Hi Red and welcome. I too am diabetic (Type 2 for 17 years) and struggling with ED for 15 years as a result. I have mostly depended on Viagra and constriction. Started on Testim 1% 4 weeks ago which has improved my ability to achieve an erection with lower and occasionally no Viagra. I also started using a pump a year ago which also helps erection quality not to mention enhancing girth. I guess I wanted to test testosterone replacement before trying Trimix. I would be interested in hearing how Trimix helps with diabetes induced ED.

Re: Hello!
I too have diabetes driven ED. Also have some prostate issues, but no cancer. Went through every possible pill combo with mixed, therefore unsatisfactory, results. tested for T levels and for Free T levels and was found to be "wihtin the range of normal". I thought it was "low range" but doc said "normal is normal" and "testosterone is not the problem". So I went to injections about 5 weeks ago and am delighted with the results. I've had wood like I haven't seen in decades. Still working with the dosage, but the shot works every time. And it's a blue veiner every time--no soft erections like with Cialis. Not everyone has the same results, of course, but right now I'm a great believer in that little shot.
For what it's worth, I'm wondering if those of us who give ourselves insulin or Byetta shots every day already are less squeamish about sticking a needle in our little friend. Since I jab myself in the tummy twice a day, one more injection doesn't phase me at all. Especially since I see quick and wonderful results.
Just my thoughts. Do your own research. But that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Re: Hello!
I have been using the vacuum pump since the early 1980's. Am 73 and my wife and I have sex 3 or 4 times a week. She is 68 so we do very well. Lucky she has been very patient with me having to use the pump. One of the people making a comment talked about injections. Do you get them through a urologist or a sex theapist? I had a prostate procedure done last January and have gotten over that. No cancer thankfully. When I mentioned to the urologist who did the prostate procedure that I used the pump he didn't say anything. After the procedure I ask him how long it would be before we could go back to having sex. He gave me an answer but didn't suggest using any other method. When I started having eretile problems when I was in my 30's shots and pills were not available. I tried the pills and didn't get any results except for a headache. Maybe it is time to try the shots if they really work and there are no side effect. I have given myself other types of shots so have no problem sticking myself. Doing these penis erection exercises every day is something new to me also. I have really gotten so much out of this Frank Talk. I is great to know there are others out there who have the same problem and are trying to find ways to overcome it. Lloyd
Re: Hello!
There are multiple types and various formulas of the injection. I take Trimix (3 ingredients in a proportion determined by my uro) and can only speak to its success in my case. The injection I take was prescribed by my urologist and was dispensed at a local compounding pharmacy. It's not your every day Walgreen's medicine becasue it is a specific mixture. There's also "bimix"--obviously 2 ingredients and then there are a couple of brand names that I cannot recall because I don't take them. IMHO, you should read all the FT posts about injections, do an internet search for penis injections or something like that, and then have an informed discussion with a good urologist. If per chance your uro is dismissive or doesn't seem interested in listening to your concerns and discussing options, I think you need a new urologist. I'm just saying.
I'll bet that you get some good responses from other guys who have experience with the other injections. You might also spend some time in the chat room. More than anything, ASK QUESTIONS! The guys here will be happy to help.

Redrockx,
Good for you--and good for your wife--that you're willing to explore some creative ways of improving your love life. As guys get older, they need more stimulation (physiological and/or psychological) to help improve EQ (erection quality). I'm sure you'll be able to give some tips to others here on what works for you!

60's. Married. Occasional ED offset by a variety of methods (VED pumping, foreskin restoration, edging) with Cialis and/or pills sometimes for sex.
