Hi all,
I'm new here and hope to get some good advice and real experience of dealing with ED.
I'm from the UK and live near Birmingham. I'm 61 and have suffered with ED, probably in part as a result of medication for hypertension for many years.
My GP has prescribed ED medication which works fine, but of late I've suffered badly with side-effects. I discussed alternatives with the GP and he suggested I try a vacuum pump and stop using the medication to see if it suits me. He made it clear that I would need a medical standard pump and not a more affordable device from a sex toy supplier.
I was surprised at the costs involved and thought I'd look for some trustworthy recommendations before making such an investment. As a result, I came across this group on the internet and learned a lot from the existing posts.
Fortunately, Paul accepted my membership today and now I'm hoping for some direct advice, guidance and experience.
Based on the existing posts, I did buy a german made battery powered pump and I've tried it a few times with mixed results.
I'm now looking for some help in making it work well and consistently for me. Where am i possibly going wrong?
I'd welcome any advice and first hand experience. I'd also welcome the opportunity to get to know you and share our experiences. I'm hoping you can help me to learn to cope with ED without medication, but maybe you can recommend medication without side-effects?
Please get in touch.
Alan

Re: Hello
Alan,
I chose a Treatment Modality which completely corrected my Post-Prostatectomy ED without medication.
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan Penile Implant in December 2007 and it completely corrected my ED,
restoring both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife.
Also, it does not interfere with any of my daily physical activities, including, weight lifting, swimming and biking.
I would do it again without hesitation!
Hope this is helpful.
If you wish, please feel free to PM me anytime.
Best of Luck,
Bob

Re: Hello
Hi Alan
I'm also in the UK and developed ED after prostate surgery.
Prior to getting my implant I was prescribed on the NHS the Soma Erect System from Imedicare. It was brilliant, easy to use and you can purchase privately if you prefer. You even get fitted and shown how to use it.
If you need any further info just message me.
