Hi everyone
My reasons for coming here may be a bit different. In 2005 the doctors found a 3cm tumor inside my spinal cord between c3 and c4. The surgery to remove it was successful, but the doctors did warn me that there would be no 100% recovery from such a surgery. I have diminished sensation below my chest and my right arm has issues, but I can walk and thankfully, use the restroom on my own. It took 8 months, before I was able to achieve an erection of any kind(morning wood), but it went away very quickly. I was very happy and I kept working at it and after 6 more months I was able to achieve and erection through sexual stimulation using a fleshlight, but as soon as the stimulation stopped my erection would go away instantly. I have been working at it for years now and after trying Levitra, Viagra, and Cialis which have all failed I am left with the choice of injections or an implant. I don't know if my problems are because of the nerve damage and the loss of sensation or if its all in my head. I tend to believe its the nerve damage because none of the pills worked. I have no problem getting an erection through physical stimulation, but as soon as it stop I go limp very quickly and I am hoping to find other people in similar situations as myself who can advise me. I have talked to my doctor about my problems and he wants to refer me to a urologist to discuss my ED. I know there are a lot of options out there such as creams, suppositories, urithra medication inserts, injections, and lastly implants. Since my ED is caused by nerve damage I need advice and solutions I should explore.
Thanks

Re: New to Franktalk
After 8 years on Viagra, I had to go to the shots. I know that sounds terrible, but believe me, they do not hurt and the chemical hardon does the job quite well. I still get horny, and have goon feeling in the penis. If you have good feeling, I should think this would do a good job for you. Bmcjr

I really would recommend injections.
It's the next logical step and pretty cost effective for most of us.
