Hello - Two years out from retirement from a prestigious academic medical center and am now using the very treatment I was involved in developing! If you've ever wondered
where the term "trimix", or "bimix", or "quad mix" came from...I coined those terms simply because we didn't know what to call it! That was '84 for the bi and '88 for the tri.
Anyway, from diagnostics to clinical trials for the orals to developing the injectables, I was involved with all that working with some very bright people. Now with uncontrolled
hypertension and prostate issues, (too early to call it cancer) I need the treatment as my wife of 30 yrs.and I are still very close. Will check out the discussion forum and add my 2
cents worth where I can. medveteran

Medv,
That's a pretty awesome story.
Sorry you have to now be a User .. but they are great products so ...
Looking forward to reading your posts -- already learned something new with the 16 different mixes -- I did not know that. If you can type out the list we will save thousands of typed characters among us by just saying "I used #6" .. rather than trying to spell out the exact ingredients.
Nice...

Welcome Med...
Another lingering question..... my former compounding pharmacy marked all my vials, " DO NOT FREEZE"
Unfortunately they somehow got contaminated lab, and closed their doors...
My new compounders initially freeze trimix and it remains frozen until I pick it up...Plus vial has "KEEP IN FREEZER" on the lable
ALSO...my new coumpounders say Discard 28 days after first opening or expiration date, whichever is sooner to ensure product sterility
( I am 75 years old, and wife has diabetes and a low libido.... one or two uses and I must discard it ? NO WAY)
My original Trimix lasted well past the 3 month expiration date (even though a slight dose adjustment was needed)
Can you please give us your opinion ?
Freeze or just refrigerate ?
Gratefully,
Bill
