Hello !

Postby Wolfman » Fri Jun 06, 2014 10:54 pm

Just got ok'd to log in after waiting several weeks. I'm at 8 weeks with the AMS 700 lgx implant. I'm very pleased with the equipment. It was a rough recovery time for 2 - 3 weeks. I suppose one drawback that I wasn't expecting is the fact that you can't deflate the cylinders all the way and they remain somewhat hard even when they're not suppose to be.

Try this: After having the deflate button pushed ( it will stay that way ) and the cylinders deflating -- you will either feel or hear the fluid leaving back to the reservoir in your abdomen, grasp the shaft of your penis and squeeze to further deflate the implant tubing. Alternatively you can place your penis on a flat surface and gently but firmly take the palm of your hand and press down on the shaft behind the glans to your abdomen. You will find that this will make your penis completely flaccid

T,
You have AMS and I, the Colorplast, but do you find your penis to appear in a somewhat "funky" shape at this point of max deflation, then gradually (only few minutes) appearing more "natural"? I suppose it is just the fluid in tubes "settleing". Each individual is probably somewhat different, especially those that where showers versus growers before surgery. IMO, does not really matter as long as the inflate is appealing and dependable.

Thanks for your advice Tech ! I'll try the flat surface idea. I've tried squeezing the fluid out after pressing the deflate button, and I can feel the fluid returning to the resevoir. There must be a learning curve to this whole process ! I had a terrible time pumping up the bulb initially. Now somewhat easier. Any words of wisdom on doing this ?

W,
I believe it really is a practice and learning experience. I'm just short of five weeks of doing inflate/deflate daily (usually twice, sometimes three times) and sometimes I can even get a good one hand only squeezing. For me, the tightness of scrotum seems to have much to do with ease of pumping and the grip. Sometimes it seems slippery to grip where two hands is needed to secure the grip. Seems to me that the more relaxed and loose the sack, the easier to find the pump, but the more slippery it may be to grip.....and slippery pump can lead to a bounce into "one of the twins"...OUCH. Getting a max deflate gives me a little trouble also and per my surgeon's recommendation, a full deflate is needed often. Semi is OK some but full deflation is needed. Much of the problem for me is I am in a hurry to deflate and I just do not give plenty of time....a few seconds can seem so long. Each individual is perhaps different in gripping per hand size, strength, and ability before really getting it all "down pat". I know the I/D routine is helping me get the hang of it.
