Hi there,
I'm a first-time forum user and thought I'd say hello. I'm 64, fit healthy and prior to the first surgery had never been in hospital. This journey started back in 2022 with a TURP procedure that has morphed into 12 further procedures and surgeries. This has included numerous urethral dilations, rigid cystoscopies, a buccal graft urethroplasty, an artificial sphincter implantation, and revision surgery. Today, I am looking down the barrel of further intervention. The physical and mental toll has been enormous. I suffer from neuropathic nerve pain from over-traction during the urethroplasty, for which I take daily medication, and I see a psychologist monthly to help combat the PTSD-like symptoms I've developed. I've also struggled with ED as a result. I have tried pelvic physio, pumps, rings, pills of all sorts, and Trimix injections that unfortunately resulted in a visit to the ER with priapism. I'm considering going down the penile implant route, but my confidence level for a successful outcome based on past history I'm not loving the odds.

Re: Hello out there.
Welcome to FrankTalk. I hope you find the help and support you need here.
There is a lot of great information and experience dealing with ED among all the men who post regularly.
It sounds like pills haven’t worked for you. Despite the terrible experience with priapism you had, it sounds like you might be able to have success with BiMix or TriMix injections, but the dose needs to be found. If you decide to pursue that avenue again a number of us injected successfully for years and can share our experience with you.
If you decide to get an implant it is important to get that done with the best, high-volume, specialist in implants. Knowing where you are located can help identify surgeons near you who might consider.
