Hi Everyone

Postby ScottC » Mon Mar 28, 2011 10:52 pm

My name is Scott I'm new to the site as a member but I've been a observer for a while now. A little about my background I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and went with the
robotic surgery in hopes of regaining my sexual ability. It has not returned and has been very frustrating I can count on one hand the amount of hand the number of quality erections
I've had in these past years. I've been leaning towards implants and that how I found your site. In fact I have an appointment tommorrow with the physican. I will turn 50 next month. I tried the
pump (the bands will kill you), I've done injections and I noticed my penis starting to curve and was not satisfied with the results, I use Cialis or Levitra but the what erections I get do not
last. I've watch myself shrink over the years which has been very dishearting. If I had known what I know now. I may have had the implant done at the time of the surgery. You have to keep a lot of
this stuff inside it feels good to let it out.

Glad to be here

Welcome, Scott:

Your experiences with various remedies are not unique. There are men on this site who have been through the same thing at one time or another. Good luck with your appointment and welcome to the site. Look forward to seeing you in the Chat Room.

Scott,
I can't address the post-prostatectomy issues first hand, but even if pumping isn't useful for sex, 'therapeutic pumping' should help fight off the 'shrinkage' problem, and put you in better position (literally, figuratively) for an implant--if that's the route you go.
It does feel good to be able to open up about this stuff; welcome to the club!
