Hi guys

Postby mikedmcb » Fri May 12, 2017 10:12 pm

I'm new to this group and still need to learn how the site works. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer 09/12/12 and had surgery 01/28/13. I was fortunate in that I had full bladder control (95%) as soon as the catheter came out. My erections still have not fully returned. I get some blood flow when aroused sufficiently and nearly achieve a full erection at the point of orgasm, but it deflates as soon as the orgasm is done. I tried Viagra with some success but due to other health issues I could not continue. I tried an experimental procedure where the doc took my blood, waved a magic wand, sacrificed a chicken...or whatever he did, and injected the resulting compound into my shaft in 5 different locations. Painful! I had a bit more success but it was short-lived. He wanted me back every 6 months forever in order to regain and keep my cock healthy. I'm not sold on the procedure but sure don't have that money to lay out. I am successful with Trimax injections. Sticking a needle in my shaft is a sure fire way to ruin the mood. I'm now basically abstain. I have thought about getting a pump, but money is an issue as insurance won't touch it. Feel free to ask me anything, I'm pretty open. I will answer almost anything.

Welcome, Mike,
I wouldn't give up on injections especially with the thought of using a pump and rings instead.
I inject before my partner and I want sex and maybe it's not spontaneous, but it beats any alternative I've tried.

Gday again Mike, just thought I would mention, for the 3 years after my prostatectomy I used a cheap penile pump from a sex shop, about $100. I used this about once a week sometimes twice, just to keep the blood flowing into my penis, trying to keep it healthy. I believe it has helped a lot in regard to not loosing any length or girth now I have an implant.
Cheers Ian.

Call me crazy, but what's wrong with losing your erection as soon as your orgasm is done? Isn't that how it's supposed to work? (Not counting implantees)
