Hi, I am a 60 yo, MWM, just had the RP with the Robot. Getting along pretty well. Only problems seem to be incontinence which, so far, has been mild. Still need to wear Depends or something similar to feel secure. Just glad to get rid of the catheter after 11 days. Dr. said everything looked good and didn't need to cut seminal vessels but not to try any sex activity yet. But boy, am I horny! LOL Really the drips are the main thing I am concerned about at this time. I am doing Kegels, a few all day. BTW, I am completely shaved since before surgery and intend to keep it that way: 1. no smell pubic hair from drips, and 2. I really like the clean look as it makes me look bigger. Also, pubs were coming in white or gray which I DIDN'T like. Good section here about shaving.
I visit other sites, one which is Thundersplace and also have two Aneros. I have the Helix and the Progasm models. I am wondering if now that my prostate is gone, will they do any good? I did enjoy them although I never got to the really Super O.

Welcome. This is a good place and you will find a lot of experience and support here. I am also PCa, WMW, with robotic surgery. When was your surgery date? Glad to hear that your recovery is going well and the "drips" may well largely cease within a month or so. Mine did within about 30 days. Nice that your sex drive is back and you are ready to go- did the doc include "self-therapy" in his thoughts on no sexual activity? Interesting. While you probably won't get hard, go for it as soon as you can and often- Penile Rehab is fun !!!!!!!!!!!!! Interesting you were shaved completely for surgery; some of us weren't and some are. Those guys who were shaved seem to like the look/results and many stay that way. I do shave a bit for pumping and have liked the look and experience; using the Gillette Fusion Proglide and found it easy, safe and quick. It does help with the look- I agree fully.

I have a Progasm and it is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had never heard of it before my surgery and started it some 4 years later. I decided to try it to awaken or regenerate the nerves in there that were damaged thru surgery; like you, my nerves were spared but the ED has been an issue anyway. I have been very successful and really think it has also helped my erection quality. Suggest you continue your quest for the Super O in the future after you allow everything and everybody down there to heal well- don't want to interfere with that process just now. It is an amazing device.

Suggest you consider pumping as a way to maintain your flexibility in your shaft as well as preserve length. Consider the Prelude, discussed in the Pumping Treatments section. It is a soft vac and not good for sex but it's a great way to start and is fun. It is not expensive and the people who sell them understand our health status and current issues- they are very good. It comes in 2 sizes depending on your girth not length.

Thanks for the response! Yes, my surgery was just 2 weeks ago and the catheter came out 3-days ago. Maybe I am expecting too much as far as the drips. I just hope not to have to deal with the drips from now on but I was warned that could be the case. I am grateful that things have gone as well as they have. I really feel pretty strong but have tried to pace myself as far as exertion. As I said before, I have been shaving pretty much every other day and my skin is getting used to it and I think I am getting better at it as well. Sorry to be vain but I really don't like those gray pubs!! Looks distinguished on my head ( I do have a nice full head of hair) but really don't like them on my crotch. LOL
As far as the Aneros, I still don't understand how you can get a prostate massage when the prostate was taken out? I did like my prostate massaged, either by the Aneros or by my wife. It used to drive me wild but I never was able to go "over the edge" so to speak. I do like anal play and my anus is very sensitive. I will PM if you want to know more about my "preferences" as that is a long story and not sure if that is discussed here in the forums.
I have seen the penis pumps on Thunders and other sites. While I have hung weights on my dick, I never used a pump. I am sort of concerned about loosing length and that is why I was using the weights. My girth is satisfactory for me. They would be good for circulation of the blood vessels in the penis?
As far as pills, I have taken Viagra and Cialis prior to my surgery. While Cialis worked, I was concerned about the side effects. I did suffer some of those. Levitra did work well and didn't seem to have the same problems. My problem was mostly longevity as I could get hard but did not stay that way and really had to concentrate to keep it hard enough to ejaculate. I am wondering if the Dr. will be prescribing pills after he clears me for sex.

I am a fellow Prostate Cancer Survivor.
By joining Frank Talk you have become a member of a brotherhood of great guys who will always be here for you and who have all walked in your shoes while battling ED.
First, I would suggest you see a Urologist who specializes in the treatment of male sexual dysfunction.
He will probably run a Doppler Test to check if there is sufficient blood flow to your penis.
The two main causes of ED are insufficient blood flow (arterial insufficiency) and venous leakage.

I think that the best way for me to provide you with some info about ED is to share the story of my battle with ED.
I developed ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004 at age 65 and had never experienced any problem prior to that.
Viagra, Cialis, etc. did not work for me.
After much research and having the opportunity to speak with 2 men who underwent the Coloplast Titan Penile Implant Procedure, I had my Titan Implant Procedure December 13, 2007.
The Titan Penile Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.
I became a Coloplast Patient Educator in January 2008 in order to share my Pre-Implant and Post-Implant experiences with men still suffering from ED and its devastating side effects.
I just celebrated the Fourth Anniversary of my Titan Implant December 13th and my wife and I could not be happier with it.

Good to read your post Rick, I have found a good hearted lot of men here who can laugh at some of the problems, all the while seeking solutions to them in a spirit of friendship. Glad you're here.
