new treatment

Postby trying72 » Tue Jan 24, 2012 10:57 am

I am meeting with my urologist to get the results of my PSA from last week. Assuming that my PSA will be undetectable I am going to ask about injection treatments. None of the 3 oral medicines help much and I just don't like using the pump. I am age 54 and everything worked fine til I had my prostrate removed in April 2010 with the DaVinci machine, so much for their claim of nerve sparing procedure. The feeling is not the same with the pump and I don't really seem to have much of a orgasm. As anyone tried the TriMix-gel, it sounds like it would be easier than injecting oneself. Also, do all of the major drugstores carry the trimix "shotkit"? Thanks

My only remark is based on what I have seen here on FT, and that is any of the gels that are inserted in the end of the penis tend to (i suppose not always) be painful, although effective.

I have never tried them but i do inject with a syringe in the side of mine. Sure there is a tiny 'pinch' feeling, but it does not last, and erections are quick and long lasting.

Private message me if you wish.

I agree with Bill. I have tried the MUSE and it was a no go for me. I also do injections and has made me almost normal. Not that I was before anyway. :)

Amazing how easy it is to inject. Who would ever think!

I'll add my voice to the chorus. Go for the shots, if nothing else it will be much less expensive. As far as I know, the only thing "normal" drug stores will supply is caverject or muse. Bi mix, tri mix, quad mix are all done by compounding pharmacies. My insurance would not pay for the quad mix I was using, but it was cheaper without insurance than caverject with insurance! I'm now bionic, but I will say the shots worked very well. The sensations with the shots are great, as you are so engorged that every nerve is on high alert. My implant is wonderful, but the feeling is not the same. Its still good, but the shots are almost like being a kid again with that throbbing woody.

Dave,

I will share my experiences as a fellow Charter Member of the Brotherhood of Bionic Boners (kudos for coming up with that cool name).
I developed ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004 and never had any ED problem before that.
I also had nerve sparing surgery (both neurovascular bundles were spared) but, clearly, this does not gurantee that you will not develop ED post-surgery!!
Viagra, Cialis, etc. did not work for me and the Vacuum Pump just seemed too messy and cumbersome to me.
I attended several Seminars on the Coloplast Titan Penile Implant and thoroughly researched the subject.
After having the opportunity to speak with 2 men who had undergone the Titan Implant Procedure, I had my Titan Implant
done on December 13, 2007.
I was blessed in that the Titan Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional
intimacy with my wife of 45 years. I had suffered with ED and all its devastating side-effects for over 3 years at that point.
I will always be greatful to the above 2 men who shared their Implant experiences with me and gave me the courage
to move forward with my life.
I share this to show that a full and satisfying sex life is definitely possible Post-Prostatectomy.

Try:

I agree but there is another issue. If you travel the injections must be kept refrigerated. The tri-mix gel does not. I have tried Muse and didn't care for it but it did work-mostly. I respond to your post to ask the makers of the Tri-mix gel to continue to work with and on it. If it is a working solution it will be a great help to those of us who travel for vacations and even self therapy otherwise.

I also would be interested in comments from guys here who have used the tri-mix gel and what they thought. I do like the idea as an additional tool for us.

Thanks for posting the ?

Trying.

Welcome to the club. Hope you get some good info here.

HAs anyone tried the TriMix-gel, it sounds like it would be easier than injecting oneself

This has been covered (mostly by me) many times before. You can do a search for +Trimix +Gel up in the little corner Search tab and it will find quite a few hits.

And if you think you do really want to try it, you should be sure to print out the prescription form at American Pharmacy Solutions website and bring it along to your doc. Otherwise they can't order it for you.

Also, you will see on their latest form they have:
Trimix for Injection
Trimix for Travel
Trimix Gel.

So you could technically get all 3 on one order form (the form is ONLY a prescription -- not an actual order for these) and you will be pretty much set with one stop shopping. Their price for Trimix for injection probably is the lowest you will find -- even with 10 or 15 dollar shipping tacked on.

So, let us know how it goes when you show them the form. I guarantee they have never heard of the Gel and probably never heard of the Travel stuff, but I am sure they will appreciate that you showed them and they'll probably start using it for all their patients.

Laters,

J
RP 2008 ... MUSE 2008-9 .. TriMix Gel 2009 .. Trimix 2009-2015 ... PGE-1 2016-2019 ..Misoprostal 2019 Onward. All worked.
